Just wanted to confirm, this round the flexipay charges 5% on the balance after monthly installment payments?

I think the last two campaigns, the 9-month tenure came with 0% upfront and balance.

Hi, just to confirm if PBB will charge any admin fee for the flexipayment? Historically for these types of promotion for other banks, even the interest is "free", they will still charge an 2%-3% admin fee for it.

all pbb cards; however the 12mth 0% flexipay is only applicable to Quantum cards.

flexipay is only for per transaction basis, after you swiped. if you want to lump all transactions, you do BT instead.

read the T&Cs.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 25 2017, 09:44 AM)
yep

1) merchant charge you RMx amount
2) wait until it get posted
3) call CS to convert into flexipay (for quantum would be 12mth 0%)
4) RMx full amount will be reversed, and charged a new apportioned amount of 1/12 of RMx.
5) after next statement, another apportioned amount

the beauty of pbb's flexipay is the apportioned amount is after your statement date  biggrin.gif

You can report for us whether it qualifies when this week's cashback gets credited.

My gut feeling is that it won't qualify.

Mytm and newer https://unifi.com.my/ are different systems, you can't use mytm login & password on unifi.com.my. Mytm is still accessible for some reason even though TM CS told me that TM is no longer updated Mytm anymore.

I don't understand why paying TM bill at different checkout systems will have different results for CB entitlement, I suppose TM bill is not categorized under utility, so it should be safe no matter where you pay it. Is it because the different systems will give different merchant ID and description?

i know it's a 2 separate system. interestingly you can login to mytm, whereas i always get redirection back to unifi.com.my laugh.gif

anyhow, the cashback mechanic for cc usually dependent on 3 things:

1) MCC
2) Description
3) Channels

all these were setup when you create new merchant ID with the payment processor.

since TM launched new portal, unifi.com.my, either they created new merchant ID or maintain previous. based on the description TMONLINE(EC) KUALA LUMPUR MY with MCC 4814 (fax/telco services), they maintained it.

remember that merchant (e.g. TM) may create new merchant ID, especially when they are doing rebranding exercise now. who knows they itchy wanna display different name, like UNIFI ONLINE(EC) for example, or somehow think TM services are utilities in nature, then assign to MCC 4900.

also the MCC associated to it. if somehow wrong MCC was assigned, e.g. MCC 9399 (Govt Services laugh.gif ) or MCC 4900 (utilities), it could be excluded by PBB due to this reason as well.

this is why we always call CS to find out the MCC for any new merchant, location, etc etc
