they seemd to u-turn their decision but didnt announce.

i got sms for pin&pay and even grabpay recently.

i noticed only paywave and online transaction (with OTP) does not get SMS alert.

maybe sms alert threshold is higher than your swipe amount?

really no idea how pbb determine the scenarios to trigger sms alert. laugh.gif

I think SMS are sent for CNP (Card Not Present) transactions?

I.e. if you enter the PIN, it assumes that you entered the PIN yourself. Whereas for Grab, there's no longer any OTP entered, so that's why they sent it to you.

I remember I selected RM500 threshold for SMS Notification when filling up the CC application form.

The first time I pumped fuel, I also entered PIN for the transaction. SMS was sent for the RM200 pre-authorization.

After that, paid using paywave so I can confirm that transaction paid via payWave will not receive SMS.

which I find very weird.
wouldn't paywave/online more important for us to be informed of the transaction?

they expect YOU to protect and secure the card. whereas outside in reality, there are fraudsters.

in PBB's point-of-view, not their problem.

1) transaction is meeting min amount
2) transaction is POSTED
3) before statement date

in short, as long as you can see the transactin in PBe, then can call to convert to FlexiPay.
