You can only stop the auto debit by instructing your merchant to stop. Bank won't be able to help you.
*
QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Sep 27 2017, 02:25 PM)
You can cancel the card, then the auto debit no longer applies.

I think if you report card missing (and pay the fine) your replacement card no longer valid for old auto debit (this one not sure, have to check).
*
QUOTE(rapple @ Sep 27 2017, 02:49 PM)
If he is still using the card then it’s troublesome to report it as a lost card / cancelling the card.

The easiest way it’s to call up the merchant or write in to cancel the subscription.

Wow thanks for the advice and CC knowledge. smile.gif I didn't know once merchant have our card info we have little power to stop payment except through them.

Balance transfer not counted as a swipe. A swipe must be retail transaction, either u swipe ur card at petrol station, retail shop, or online.

Updates:

called CS asking for waiver...

instantly got the waiver... now only need to pay statement balance minus (annual fee + GST )

Clarified with CS tht the balance transfer instalment is not count as 12 swipes. he asked me swipes 12 times to get waiver next yr.

Not sure what you meant by link. It is for purchase under My Race Online, the site link is http://www.racexasia.com/

It is stated on the credit card statement as "THINKFIT*MYRACEONL-ECOM SELANGOR MY"

Why shopee dealer cancel transactions.?
*
A few reasons:
1) Inactive dealers - their postings were outdated (i.e. no longer provide that service or not enough "stock")
2) Dealers' credit card monthly/weekly cash back quota has finished (they use credit cards to make bill payment too)
3) Ignorant dealers - almost all bill payment dealers are part-timers (some of them take long time to check orders until overlook expiration dates)
4) Fake/Unethical dealers - purposely create postings to obtain contact details from customers (*disclaimer: I do not rule out this possibility because you may receive tons of spam messages after revealing your private information)

Nevertheless, some bill payment dealers are really good and ethical, providing discount to customers.

Fair enough, this really sum up the cons of shopee bill payment (and also applicable to other online shop)

good points there thumbsup.gif

remember, there is a CHAT function to contact seller directly. ALWAYS contact them first for stocks availability, their payment date/time, etc.

Absolutely right. Based on my experience with Shopee bill payment dealers, successful past experience (even previous week) with the same dealer doesn't guarantee the same result for current week. Therefore, always chat with sellers first before making orders.

utilities, avoid in uobpaonline. except with weird exception to SYABAS whereby the "syabas" not displayed on the description. we dont know how extensive pbb excludes uitilities based on specific description, e.g. tnb, syabas, etc

mobile, no issues.

Anyone can confirm all Syabas payment via uob payonline entitled for the PB cash promo (Rm50x 10)?

if it worked for previous 5x/8x promo (confirmed Week11 cb), then it would work now.

with one big unknown exception: uobpayonline fixes back to its normal description.

easiest way is trial and error, pay minimum amount with pbb vs today, whatever minimumum amount allowable by uobpayonline.

see what the description is in a few days time. should be enough time until monday to know.
