QUOTE(crumpetss @ Sep 15 2017, 04:52 PM) FCPX is very optimised and the most stable of the bunch. Even with an underpowered CPU, you can still do simple edits of FullHD and 4K video on FCPX. If you've a Mac and you're not doing something very fancy, FCPX would be an obvious choice. |

See whether you're willing to pay or not.
I went from Sony Movie Studio to Adobe Premiere Pro, never looking back. |

QUOTE(crumpetss @ Sep 17 2017, 08:50 PM) Well. Premiere pro is the best option for you then. As you're already using after effects. It shouldn't be that expensive with the monthly subscription too. I notice the jack sparrow version is way more buggy and you are more likely to lose hours of work. |

Ayam already familiar with other Adobe products so premiere pro was the obvious choice.. Though strangely the shortcuts on one program was not always the same as the other

Its just natural for Mac user to choose Final Cut Pro X for their editing purpose. Even though I using Adobe CC Full Apps, I didn't install Adobe Premier.

I started off by mastering Sony Vegas Pro and used them for all my wedding video jobs. The interface in Sony Vegas makes editing easy to learn and most of the terms are pretty straight forward. But I realized there is a limitation in the video transitions after I discovered how easy it is to apply various transitions on the clips with premiere, I started to learn more about them.
I was amazed by how i can apply the slick walk and luma fade transitions via premiere. Then I never look back Then I discovered more great part about adobe. Their products can work well together, for instance, premiere pro, photoshop and after effects. These software offer great and more efficient workflow. Applying video intro as well as png images will no longer be that complex by simply using adobe products. However. switching platform is not an easy task. But if you are looking to improve your video quality, just go ahead. I am pretty sure you won't look back |
