I had a negative experience using my Amex card today. I was buying a big ticket item (in the thousands of ringgit) but I couldn't complete my transaction at the store after 3 attempts. After switching to my Mastercard, I had no problems with completing my payment.

The Cashback and 5xTP were one of the main reasons I chose to have the Amex card in the first place but if I can't take advantage of these two features, what's the point?

I'm going to lodge a complaint to see if I can get the remaining TP that I am owed.

If exceed a bit maybe still possible, your next transaction may not able to go through.

There are few places that accept Mastercard contactless card like The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malaysia and Tesco.

Speaking of fraud...

I got my mbb2card - master , hacked on Friday morning - 7 something, 10 over smses received and all in foreign currency USD/EUR. Mainly paylane-xxxx.

Called and blocked the card. FYI mbb2c master is a card that i'd never use for any transaction since i got it because no benefit.

I thought the nightmare would stop after that, but no.

I got another sms spending on my mbb2card AMEX Saturday night - USD at alipay. With that experience that I had one day ago, immediately I called CS again and blocked the card.

Worry of my other remaining cards in mbb got hack , immediately i made another call to block all my other mbb cards.

With that, CS kept implying that the problem is at the cardholder, like enter info at website/ not properly secure the card, etc.

What happened to Maybank? Why my cards got hack overnight?
