QUOTE(fruitie @ Oct 27 2017, 11:50 AM) I pay UniFi, Digi and Astro using AmEx on M2U. Others use it to pay TNB as well. So, yes, this card is for you. I am sorry may I know how to pay Bill using AmEx on M2U? Guys, I saw the apply for Maybank EzyPay at Maybank2U's card management section. I thought EzyPay is 0% installment plan that available at selected merchants? So in this case, can I go out and swap my card to buy a phone and then apply it through maybank2u to change it to EzyPay installment? Thank you

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Oct 27 2017, 10:07 PM) not all bill payees (merchants) accept amex. if amex is accepted, in the drop-down menu, you can select Amex card. try on TNB and see. Eh is like that one ah? Let me go and check. No wonder i was blurred a bit just now Thank you

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Oct 27 2017, 10:13 PM) your queries on EzPay, maybank has 2 ezpay program: 1) EzPay, which is at merchant side. usually 0%. 2) EzPay Plus, this is conversion to instalment after a purchase. subject to upfront fee, if any. the one showing in M2U is called Ezpay Plus. I am sorry, what's "if any" in this context means?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Oct 27 2017, 11:23 PM) maybe got promo 0% leh, etc but mostly all with certain fee. ezypay plus equivalent is Flexipay from PBB. 0% 9mth for PBB cards, except 12mth 0% for Quantum. I love this feature, helped me splitting big transaction into installments. So basically ezypay need to wait for it to have promo whereby PBB always 0%?

From what I know, the call to change my swipe of a large amount into installment with 0% only for PB and part of their promotion. For maybank, either through Easy Payment which is swipe on the registered merchant or Easy Payment Plus which can be done through maybank2u portal with interest rate. There are no other way to get 0% installment other than easy payment right? (Omit off the BT for now) Or am I wrong? Thank you

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 7 2017, 07:26 AM) yes for PBB and MBB, as far as i know i guess you couldnt get PBB card(?) perhaps you can get other cards with similar benefits or just stick with MBB's for the time being, then later reapply PBB card (at least Quantum). Thank you for the answer. Actually I got both, but I am thinking which one to use for instalments haha.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 7 2017, 08:13 AM) then ok la. use/pair both cards e.g. use pbb to swipe large amount. call CS to convert to flexipay 0%. if your pbb monthly statement a big high or need to improve cashflow, BT the statement amount to MBB 12mth 0%. if not too high for pbb, just repay monthly as normal. Haha yea. But the shop that I am swiping in is a registered merchant of easy payment. So I plan to swipe MBB while reserve the PB card as another alternative for other future instalments that can't get easy payment with. Do you think is a good idea? Haha If I swipe and use MBB for easy payment, I can still make BT from PB to MBB in near future?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 7 2017, 08:22 AM) if merchant accept mbb easy payment, then go for this. yes, from mbb, you can also BT back to PBB, however just 6mth 0%. still good anyway. so MBB allows BT from PB with 12 months 0% while PBB only allows 6 months 0%? But then if i use MBB for easy payment this time, can i still able to BT from PB to MBB in near future?

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 7 2017, 09:03 AM) simplified calculation assuming no spending at all, just easypayment..... assuming CL RM5k. you purchase item RM2.4k with 12mth easypayment. monthly installment RM2.4k/12 = RM200. bank actually reserved full amount of RM2.4k from your CL. so, your available CL is actually RM5k minus RM2.4k = RM2.6k. the installment amount RM200 will be "dropped" into your statement each month. each installment month, it will restore back the available CL, e.g. RM2.6k + RM200 = RM2.8k available CL. That's super clear. Thank you so much again. You are a great help.

But then I noticed the amount in Outstanding Balance is different with Statement Balance.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jan 27 2018, 08:57 PM) statement balance = monthly statement amount. you pay according to statement balance by due date. outstanding balance = unpaid statement balance + new unbilled transactions after statement date. for unbilled transactions, you dont actually need to pay it until your next statement date + new due date (+20 days after due date) refer below illustration: So the PDD is the unbilled transactions? But then.. I can still pay outstanding balance if i wanted to right? Let's say my bill due date is 26 of every month, sometime i may forgotten to pay, so how many days can I afford to forget before i kena late payment penalty? ty

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jan 27 2018, 09:23 PM) pdd = payment due date, that's +20 days after statement date. if statement date = 26, pdd = 15/16 following month (except Mar due to less days in Feb). all these info is clearly displayed in M2U or statement. sure, just pay all your outstanding if you want. no harm. late payment penalty will be after pdd. not sure how many days later. i dont bother to try and no intention to find out Ohh now I understand. Thank you so much Just fyi, I sometime forgotten to pay, so miss 1 day, so far no penalty yet
