Any review on the LTE/Wifi/GPS of Intel chip in 8+? My 7+ with intel radio sucks compare to 6s+, 6+, Malaysia going to get all Intel chip, guess the same stock from Sg. Do share, thanks.

I checked my storage of 128GB 7+, left with 24.3GB, used up 100GB+ mainly on photo apps where I transfer back almost my 1st iPhone 2G photos till now to my phone. It is something very enjoyable to watch old photos on same device, even more with my iPad Pro 12.9" which now comes with 256GB. So for me no choice but 256GB on my next phone. Too bad Apple revise the different of storage to be $150 apart now where in June, Ipad Pro is $100 apart which I was lucky to get it merely Rm500 more than 64GB. It will be nice if all iPhones in 2017 is merely US$100 apart where the different is RM500 instead of RM750 now.

Hope those prices in Lazada and 11street are mark up from the list price, quite absorb if the conversion is >5.16 compare to iPhone 7 or lower at 5.0 conversion. Bad news is the pre-order is close to phase 1 iPhone X pre-order if the delivery starts on 30-Oct-30.

I checked over the weekend for Samsung Note 8 and found the front camera is so so so much low noise than iPhone 7 plus. If the room lighting is not super bright or the background has sportlight, iPhone gets quite noisy picture where note 8 has no noise issue. Anyone with iPhone 8 can clarify if the front facing camera improved dramatically? Don't get me wrong, won't go for Note 8 just excited to know if the selfie camera improved to be on par with Sammy.

it depends if you need that much of space. I got used to big space since 7+, and enjoy putting all photos even very old one into my devices. 256GB really give you the freedom to record 60fps 1080p or 4k without worries. If you can live with 64GB and don't intend to keep this very long(cycle next year) 64GB maybe enough.

Enjoy the high quality video with the new phone, 60fps really looks different than 30fps, if you have higher resolution screen than 1080p then can try 4k 60fps video, pretty sure it looks cool. Load your phone with high quality audio and video as well, get a good headphone and you will know how good your decision is to have 256GB space.

If you have someone can help you collect or buy iPhone X in Sg, that's the way to avoid the wait for Malaysia wave. I have confirmation from Apple just now iPhone from SG can be claimed in Malaysia Apple authorized service center, that's I always hearing, but I was told including US iPhone. I am a bit skeptical for US iPhone but if that were to happen to me, I will just use the chat record with case id to talk to Apple if I need to do so.

I have used 6+, 6S+ and 7+ now, 6+ is the worst design Apple had, the soft aluminium will cause your touch screen to damage(very high chance), battery and storage issue is new to me. Pretty sure less issue with 8+ since my 6S+ and 7+ are great except 7+ has lousy Intel Radio where our 8, 8+ and 10 will from Intel as well, No different.

If you can accept 8+, pretty sure you not be facing your 6+ experience easily, X to me is risky in reliability(something like 6+ 1st time from Apple poor design probably, pricier and longer wait time). So ya, I can help you analyze, can't help you decide. I will not encourage you to repair since your case is multiple issues, definitely pricey for shop repair.

That's why I cycle my phone yearly, I sold my 6+ at 2700 when I bought at 3149 from Apple Store. Now phone gets complicated, repairing iPhone doesn't seem like a good choice now. New touch id for iPhone 7 is not repairable, tied to motherboard, the OS will not allow the new touch id haptic chip to be replaced. So high risk of repair cost if it were to damage. iPhone now come with IP67, once open no longer water proof which I like very much as i can bring phone to swimming pool or bath room without worries.

If you compare Apple store website in US and MYS, all iPhone conversion is 5X, now iPhone 8 plus has extra RM100 cushion even bad news for 256GB and iPhone X. Aih..... Malaysia.....

Same thought here. Right after iPhone 8 announced, all iPhones prices revised, the conversion for all iPhone from SE to 7+ is USD to MYR 5.0. Now iPhone 8 is at 5.2, what the hack has happened? Our MYR currency version strong now at 4.2X even with GST and SIRIM there is nothing here there. Something wrong with this.

That's bad news for iPhone X buyers as well.

iCloud needs data ma, how can the speed comparable with flash memory speed, 50x to 100x speed different friend. I have a case for my friend is he upgraded his iPhone 7 icloud storarge, ended up all his photos gone at iCloud and iPhone, almost cried. Luckily he still have some backup in PC. Ya it sounded RM750 is big deal but that's 4x storage, for the phone you are paying, that's worth. Not to mention you may sell at least RM500 higher for 256GB phone compare to 64GB if you were to sell it after a year. I have an iPad Pro 256GB, so happy with the storage, all the video recording each >1GB still no concern, 60fps is so so smooth and enjoy watching, something you may struggle with 64GB and iCloud.
