If repair is gonna be expensive, get a cheap android to use for few months, while waiting for iPhone X to reach Malaysia. Battery alone should cost you below 100 which is reasonable, but the other problem I don't know.

The touch ic i asked at kk around 350, then batt rm150. If change touch screen need 400-500 here. Oh ya, also my camera like got burn out pixel, cos 1 black patch when taking photo 😂😂 so this phone is defintely a goner but luckily camera no much issue for me becos i have dedicated camera for my travelling later.

Total if touch ic and batt around 500.. tough decision. Probably just gonna wait out x Thanks for the advise

since overseas iphone can claim warranty in Malaysia, i suppose those phones sold by T&L also can claim ?

can bring to any apple service centre? Are they going to change the screen or the touch IC only? BEcause if touch IC, outside shop can do 350 only..

I see. because I found few shopscan change battery for around RM80-100. I don't know if there's any cheap iPhone repair in KK though, but touch IC is gonna cost hundreds. If your phone really cannot use, then no choice. either you get another phone and sell back later, or just settle for iPhone 8 Plus.

Yeah, any Apple service center. However, you might have better luck if you contact Apple Support first. Tell them you have problem with your touch screen on iPhone 6+. If you've never dropped or bent the phone, tell them that too. They might be able to wave the fee.

Yeah.. problem of sending to apple is take time to get ur phone back too..

the digitizer and the screen is fused together but i saw online say the touch screen issue comes from the touch IC.. i tried to use apple website but they say my phone can no longer use apple support (wtf?)

If you have someone can help you collect or buy iPhone X in Sg, that's the way to avoid the wait for Malaysia wave. I have confirmation from Apple just now iPhone from SG can be claimed in Malaysia Apple authorized service center, that's I always hearing, but I was told including US iPhone. I am a bit skeptical for US iPhone but if that were to happen to me, I will just use the chat record with case id to talk to Apple if I need to do so.

I have used 6+, 6S+ and 7+ now, 6+ is the worst design Apple had, the soft aluminium will cause your touch screen to damage(very high chance), battery and storage issue is new to me. Pretty sure less issue with 8+ since my 6S+ and 7+ are great except 7+ has lousy Intel Radio where our 8, 8+ and 10 will from Intel as well, No different.

If you can accept 8+, pretty sure you not be facing your 6+ experience easily, X to me is risky in reliability(something like 6+ 1st time from Apple poor design probably, pricier and longer wait time). So ya, I can help you analyze, can't help you decide. I will not encourage you to repair since your case is multiple issues, definitely pricey for shop repair.

iPhone X in SG price is so much higher than US or HK.. I believe SG can claim in Msia because if u buy from Apple Malaysia, the shipment and support owes comes from Apple Singapore.

yeah, u got your point, i also worried will become white mouse again for iphone x. iphone 6 plus i have no problem as i pre-ordered it from Apple online store, so i don need to queue up and i actually received it little earlier than those who queued.

i have contacted the apple, they say the multi touch issue is definitely due to drop on hard surface, and summore my warranty already over, so have to pay to change the touch screen..
