10-5 are the worst hours to drive on weekdays.10am is already after the morning peak hours.
5pm is just when the evening peak hours is starting.
Reschedule to start earlier and end later.

QUOTE(Aizat2402 @ Oct 18 2017, 06:00 PM) thinking of resigning from my current job but dont know if uber can match my current salary with the same working hours exclude weekends . thats why targeting 10-5 only. night time with family lor. seems like not possible. Unless your current salary is below rm2000, it's not advisable to leave your current job.1 more thing to note is that being a driver means a "blank period" in your CV for future employment. If you decide to be a driver for the rest of your life, then it's ok. QUOTE(simongs @ Oct 18 2017, 08:39 PM) but i noticed that if i hit all the quests on regular basis every week which i do..uber would gradually reduce the quest incentive thereafter to lesser amount. It has always been like this for Uber.so i stop hitting the quest sometimes for one or 2 weeks and then they start me on better deals once again I once had an average of rm1.5-rm2.0/trip quest bonus. That's why it sux to be a veteran Uber driver, income will only keep dropping. QUOTE(Aizat2402 @ Oct 19 2017, 10:58 AM) It is still possible now, even with Uber. But the question is can you drive for 90 hours per week - not including your meal breaks ? |

Grab is definitely higher with long distance without surge.
The longer the distance, the bigger the difference in fare. Once I fetched someone from Klang to Kajang after meeting my supplier there earlier. Uber fare with 1.3x surge was ~rm50 (including toll) - my trip. Rider told me Grab was ~rm70 (not including toll). And so I realised I made ~rm20 less by doing the same thing with Uber. |

Imagine mine was 39 trips Fri - Monday, while I was still actively driving.
And it always put me in a limbo if I complete 20+ trips on Friday alone, which I mostly do. Then Saturday have to drive full day, and sometimes even half-day on Sunday. Sad life FML... This post has been edited by Utopia Angel: Oct 24 2017, 02:07 AM |

QUOTE(ChocoleX @ Oct 25 2017, 12:09 PM) Hi guys im new to uber & grab and still thinking want to do full time or not because i'm looking for a flexible hour job. my question is if i start my trip at 6am all the way to 6pm, maybe 30min quick lunch between 2-3. how much is the estimate nett income for a day? consider driving bezza 1.3cc, i'm more sided to uber but my grab friend telling me to go for grab Depends on your petrol consumption and car maintenance.Depends on your luck. Depends on where you drive. 6 am to 6 pm ~ Less than rm200 for Uber (average). It's not appropriate to post here for Grab. |

Klang Valley is a very general term.
If you drive in Klang or Shah Alam, maybe only rm15/hour on average. Go drive inside KL city area for max income, confirmed more than rm20/hour. |

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Oct 29 2017, 01:51 PM) > 12 hours a day confirm can get RM200 a day. if not really can throw away dont drive Uber anymore. Don't be so sure abt Uber oh...Taking Grab for example. HP block X 10 hours enough. With 3 trips per hour is gross RM400 for 10 hours work. This is a realistic figure considering some blocks will be UP or MP. and sometimes you are only able to do 2 trips per block. on average should be around 2.5 trips per block in a day. Ppl left because the income is too sucky and pickup location too far, so I'll stay reserved. If still not able to hit rm200 in 12 hours, then next day drive Grab lar |

Not enough drivers and yet they are banning seasoned drivers.
Wonder when it will be my turn lol... I drove for Uber in the last couple of days. 80+ trips, AR = 85%, CR = 25% Overall, income is still as crappy as when I last stopped 3 months ago. Upfront fare is fcked up, contact support also they don't layan. Trip duration estimation is totally wrong. After-work peak hour, 30min 2km trip is only ~rm5 upfront fare. And this was in PJ area with 1.6x surge. So I can conclude, fck Uber. Drive Grab better, tutup mata also easily rm30/hour. |

QUOTE(conxtion @ Nov 18 2017, 03:18 PM) Most important thing now is to fix the bloody low fare.Petrol is so expensive now, but the fare remains the same. And upfront fare is too fcked up for drivers. If the fare is not adjusted to +50% of what it is now, totally not worth to drive at all. Well, it's my opinion only. |

QUOTE(2feidei @ Nov 19 2017, 01:49 PM) Lel....liddat as well no need rate.........anyway, what is the min rating before the driver got suspended now? Used to be 4.3 Don't know. But, if now most of riders rate 4, in no time, sure very fast got suspended.... My rating keep increasing, the 1-week I drove for Uber it increased by 0.02. Rating increase is pointless, money needs to increase lar... QUOTE(bcombat @ Nov 19 2017, 01:38 PM) Money is a whole lot of difference lor.Money itself is a major motivation to deliver something even better. |

QUOTE(2feidei @ Nov 21 2017, 08:06 PM) Good lor.....then, Uber will repeat this argument again......with lower fare, more ride request, partner will have higher earning Some trips are basically 0 income for me no matter how selective I am LOL...dunno recycle how many times jor I'd rather be like a taxi driver, make fewer but higher fare trips. Rather than drive like a dog and make peanuts. |

QUOTE(bcombat @ Nov 22 2017, 12:57 PM) have you notice that when we become riders, some drivers would rate us lower than 5 stars? I don't know where to check my rating in the rider app... Teach me ?even though no issues in pick up, drop off and during the trips. QUOTE(megat_johan @ Nov 22 2017, 01:33 PM) my wife book the ride. once the drive reach to pick her up, the driver told my wife the air cond is not functioning, hence asking her to cancel the request + plus cancellation fee. upon checking, the fare is only 3.18 which not feasible to him compare getting the cancellation fee. princess? my wife together with my 11 months child and her 62 yrs old mother. It sux sometimes, there are all kinds of drivers and riders out there nowadays.i will definitely report to Uber about this lousy driver and right now, her account suspended untill she pay the RM5 fee. sigh to be fair, uber should raise the minimum fare like grab. it's not like we choose to pay lower fare. it's decide by UBER kot. Please report if you feel you are treated unfairly. Uber should impose a rm4-5 minimum fare. This way, there will be lesser tempang riders in the country (those princesses and spoiled college students). This post has been edited by Utopia Angel: Nov 22 2017, 02:28 PM |

QUOTE(bcombat @ Nov 22 2017, 03:26 PM) recently pick up in sunway areas and receive a lots of pings with poor rider ratings.... Evil LOLX...it must be cause by u. 😂 Average rating for college students there is abt 4-4.5. But I have not driven for Uber for more than 3 months (except the 1-week holiday which i made around 90 trips only). Anyway, those with very low rating definitely got issue. I will still pick, and give 1-star to further enhance their rating |

QUOTE(bafukie @ Nov 24 2017, 09:16 AM) cant blame them.... if u drive or driven for Uber b4, u feel like a loser when u rush through traffic only to see the journey cost like rm3 and with promo code, u get nothing... really pundek.... Well, there are a couple of times when I drive - I came home with less cash when I left.Bought nothing, only pumped petrol and T&G. It's not a big issue actually, since Uber has never defaulted on my payment. QUOTE(simongs @ Nov 24 2017, 02:45 AM) The problem is the very low fare by uber...insanely low so no matter how many trips you do locally you can't really hit even 100 a day easily +1 Fix the bloody fare or close shop altogether. They do give you quest and if you hit their quest you can pocket the incentive amount but what happens is that... As you hit every quest , they will start to reduce the incentive step by step until it comes to a point that you feel its too low and not worth the effort to make so many trip just to get that little incentive... Seriously Uber needs to revise their fare , because the fare is so cheapkate the drivers mentality also change and they resort to all kinds of tricks like caling and asking "mana mau pergi" and if its near then they ask you to cancel it...why on earth do we need to drive 14km to pick someone and then they travel 5km and pay RM3.40 ??? Are we indebted to Uber to do this or are we running a charity association here + DO NOT PICKUP ANYONE MORE THAN 5KM UNLESS YOU KNOW THEIR DESTINATION. |
