from my understanding, the perk will activate once your clan cleared the required levels.

Completing a story mission - 500XP
Completing Crucible games - 500XP (any mode, win or loss)
Completing a Patrol mission - 250XP
Completing an Adventure - 500XP
Completing a Public Event - 500XP (only if in a Fireteam)

i believe you can do this solo, except for the public event you need to in a firetean with you clan members and you have a max clan xp you can contribute per character per week. i think it's 5000 xp points

Example: My clan is currently rank 2 and unlocked the perk for gaining additional glimmer when looting engrams.. so is the perk gonna take effect if I play solo? If I play in a fireteam with 2 other members not on my clan?

Cause they just mention unlocking the perks, but didn't say how will these perks take effect...
