Check your current installed version number.

If it is version 2.192.5/AC19.2.5/...... instead of 8.2.6, then you will have the same problem with HBO Go M. It is due to your device webview is unable to handle certain JavaScript thingie correctly.

It is a long story, read the story in the HBO Go thread. To cut the long story short, delete current installation, reinstall back 8.2.6 .....

U mean the old version worked... then u updated to new, cant log in... now reinstall old cant work also?

Were u forced to update from old to new or u chose to do so?

What you have written is kind of confusing.

Because there are people who still able to use the 8.2.6 version. If you use the old 8.2.6 version and yet cannot get streaming ( while others still can ), meaning Astro detect your device and stop streaming selectively.

from what u and others described...

1. yr box got auto updated to new app, meaning playstore detects its compatibility and forced it.
the missing log in page... check u have chrome or puffin browser.
some people get the page but still can't log in.
if u see the page, wait a bit first.
if still can't, exit and renter the app.

2. your box root hiding may have been lost, rendered uneffective.
hence u are unable to use v8.2.6 again.
it is possible the new app contains a new requirement check that yr box can't get thru now.

i personally can use both new and old versions on my boxes/TV's.

u need to have a browser app installed the box, chrome or puffin or...
the browser serves as installer; w/o it. it will not install.

Forget about the browser thingie. Some devices the webview object is hardcoded, it is not affected by the browsers that you installed into the system.

X92 is the box that I am having, even though I might not be using exactly the same ROM as you. I have root, so I actually have to use root to upgrade the framework-res.apk and added a 'com.google.android.webview', to force the system to use a more powerful/recent webview object.

You best shot is still fall back to 8.2.6. I don't think Astro is so free to block based on per person. If they want to block, they probably block based on device categories.

no, not log in thru browser - when u open the app, it actually calls on something in the browser to install it.

well, i can't explain all the tech details...

if u already hv chrome and it doesn't work, likely something else blocking it.

perhaps time u look for another box...
