for AndroidTV or ATV devices, u need:
1. the "AstroTV" app meant for ATV, which is still under testing by astro; this apk has been posted earlier in this thread by someone.
2. u must be registered as a tester, paying rm1 pm... this is now closed.
if u r not registered, it will not work.
perhaps when test complete, astro may be selling subscription for it.

for regular android devices, if yr device is compatible, the current astrogo apk version is 2.201.4/AC20.1.4/8f38551:

this apk is now working very well for compatible devices, no more buffering, audio loss, etc.
there are many boxes that work with this apk.
unfortunately, it will not work on ATV devices - u get serious lag on HD streams.

Tv is just a tv... if u use a generic android box.

That will work... i have 4 diff boxes... they all work.

But i must caution u... not all generic boxes will work... due to root, firmware, etc.

The channels and content available on Astro GO are subject to the rights from individual content provider.

TV3 belongs to Media Prima, so it is up to Media Prima to decide whether they want their channels to be on Astro Go or not.

Baby TV channel is from Fox Network Group.
If you realise, all Fox Network Group channels like Fox Movies, Fox, Fox Life, FX, Star Chinese Channel, these channels aren't available on Astro Go platform also. However, all 3 Nat Geo channels (which is from Fox Network Group) is available on Astro Go.
In case you didn't know, Fox Network Group is also a part of Disney company now. And Disney nowadays wants to put more focus on its Disney+ service.

So it really depends on how Astro deals with the channel partner Fox Network Group to have the permission to provide the channel onto Astro Go streaming platform.
Cuz just because they have broadcast rights to offer the channels on TV platforms, it does not mean it includes rights to offer the channel onto OTT streaming platform, Astro Go.

That is why not all channels available on Astro Go.

Update for Astro APK hex

Now Astro TV app has been put on Tizen app store. However it's only for beta testing.

Hopefully later Astro can officially put the Astro TV app for Android TV, Google TV and Smart TV.

after the new firmware, now is full screen and very smooth for live channel.

very smooth aotg after update. play aotg on my TX3 mini 2gb 16gb ram. android 8.

i use Aptoide store. This store like google play but no need to sign in with email. 

I think might need to use other browsers
