Found a decent alternative to the MiBox. the Mecool KD1 is similarly priced to the Mi Stick, but has the same specs as the Mi Box S, just without native Netflix support (which I don't need). Also the KM2 is priced near the Mi Box S but has built in LAN and USB 3.0

I just noticed that Sooka is offering Smart TV (ATV) package now. If you are using Astro for just sports, then I think this is the best option (for now). Also they are now using 50FPS stream (albeit at only 720p, but it's much higher quality than previously)

Apparently you can now get Astro Multiroom for Smart TV for an addition of RM30 per month (compared to RM50 for a multiroom box). So you don't need to use AotG hack anymore. Only limitations are - Limited to only one device/smart tv - Need to have supported Widevine DRM (meaning at least, an Android TV device, and NOT an Android Box) joshhd liked this post
