Can't play even if you manage installed even if you get the official app frm apkpure. Error: Restricted Not Download From Playstore.
Playprotect fully disable playing. I read we need to disable playprotect in

user posted image

Only issue I can't find security in that options. I can't find anywhere to disable play protect in Google playstore app either. Unless play protect is fully disable astro on the go can't even play. I am also like the other guy using new mecool km2

The steps shown on the screenshot is for device with Android TV 9.

The Security & Restrictions on Android TV 10(Mecool KM2) is at Settings>Apps>Security & Restrictions (need to scroll down)

Thank you boss. After disable verify apps it still shows Restricted Not Download from Playstore when trying to run Astro On The Go.

The error is not due to that, it is something else..

from what i know is that u need to use the mod version of Astro Go for Android TV..

Thanks man.

Tried 3 sticks and no luck 😵

When it get loaded up in Es file explorer, do you see the version, size and package name under the properties before installing ?

Mine somehow all shows n/a.

Haha frustrating leh. Was loooking forward to enjoy the app on smart tv haha.

Parsing error usually means the file is corrupt & file manager or the system fail to identify the file..
Re-download the app again from the same source if still fail then download again from different source..
Personally, i'll advice to ditch that es file explorer app..

To verify:
> install x-plore app from the Google playstore,
> go to the downloaded apk file
> Long press & click 'show details'
> Click on the 'apk' tab
> It will show the app details

Example:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Btw, what model is your tv & what is the Android version?

Thanks bro.

I tried download the 1.2 apk mod file from achieve org site on chrome and open it straight and it promoted the same parsing error.

Now I suspect could be the android version is outdated.
My tv is sharp UE630x running on android 6.0.1. There isn’t official update to download automatically.

U guys have updated manually to newer android version?
*
Your TV OS is outdated & the latest Astro Go app now require at least Android 7.0..

You won't able to update your TV if the manufacturer hasn't releases any new update..

So you have two options:
> New Android TV
> Android box(recommended)

Is it? That's good news. Guess when & if my current box dies, may just switch over to this Multiroom and pay RM381/year. My multiroom setup is one in Ipoh and another in Selangor.  drool.gif  drool.gif

How did they find out that the 2nd box is installed at a different address?
*
No idea..
When her friend ask Astro on why the 2nd box stop working and they informed her that they know the 2nd box is not at the registered address.
So her friend got scared(worried about penalty) and she cancelled her multiroom subscription..😄

Now this is intriguing. Maybe the As***box has a GPS radio to also track location or reports back telemetry information of user's ISP public address. Since is an Android app, it does have certain permission (unknowingly enabled) to snoop.
*
Possible but if they really do have that then your 2nd box already blocked by now.

How long you have been using it on different location?
