Get the Tanix TX3 S905X3. It's the cheapest and newest box that support AOTG.

thanks !!!!!!

can i know around how much the price ???

Cheap. Look for sellers on Shopee, but it is between RM150 - RM200, depending on which seller you choose to buy from.

Can Amazon Fire TV Cube support AOTG ?
*
I’m not sure, but if it is rooted, it won’t be able to support AOTG.

Bought the TX3 S905X3 per AVFAN recommendation, but I bought from a Malaysian seller here: https://shopee.com.my/TX3-TVBox-Android-9.0...3663.1392020997

My review is that it is a very good box and well worth the money if you’re just using it for Astro Go and unifi@PlayTV, and also works for ahem apps well. I would suggest this box over any of the RM300-RM400 boxes for sure, and it is a huge improvement over the original TX3 and TX6. One thing to note, the WiFi ain’t that good, but I’m using LAN, so no issues for me.

*YES, there is a root switch to unroot the box*

Cheers bro AVFAN for your recommendation.

With or without root?
*
Root switch, as explained by bro puchongite.

QUOTE(puchongite @ Dec 15 2019, 08:35 PM)
Root switch, meaning with a click of the remote/mouse, the root program is renamed from su into something else. And another click will bring it back.

The root checking programs are usually very non-exhaustive, once the 'su' is renamed, it is treated as root is not present.

Sooner or later this root switch will be non-effective when security consciousness programs perform more exhaustive search.

Interesting. I hope that won't happen. Would be a sad day if it did.

Aiyo, just happened last night
Didn't install new app for the past one week
Don't know which app to uninstall
*
Another app probably updated by itself yesterday, and started sending you ads. I don't think it is the Astro app.

Hi there guys, i’m new here. I’m using 4k sharp smart tv  now, with a beelink gt1 mini. I bought it previously with pre-install apps, target to watch movie from kodi & subscribe iptv for astr0.

But now just found out my parents got unused astr0 go id and i want to migrate to netflix 4k to fully utilised my tv.

Mibox s will be just the one for netflix@4k, however many complain it to be lagging for live tv astr0 go.

Nvidia shield too far to reach.
Thinking to sell my gt1 mini, tx3 will be good alternative for aotg while mibox s for netflix.

Gt1 mini can only manual unroot right? Will it remove the pre installed apps?

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Get the TX3 S905X3, and not the original TX3. You won't get Netflix 4K though with that box, but you will get to access Astro Go. I wouldn't suggest unrooting the Beelink GT-1 Mini. It is extremely risky and could brick your box.

Yeah quite tricky for beginner to unroot, risking to brick it.
Whats the difference between original tx3 and tx3 s905X3?
*
TX3 S905X3 is newer and has better SoC. See TX3 thread for more info.

Tanix tx3 S905W got issue with 4K netflix/youtube ?
*
TX3 S905W can't play 4K Netflix, only a few boxes can. It should be able to handle 4K Youtube.

Now I can confirm that if you need devices that can stream Netflix in HD@4K and Astrogo smoothly at the same time, these are the devices that you should be looking for:

1. Nvidia Shield 2017/2019
2. Amazon Fire TV Cube 2019 2nd generation

Just got my aftv cube yesterday.. straight away test AOTG.. and run like butter.. ordered from Amazon, use buyandship as forwarder. Total cost is RM398+54 (forwarder charge).  Cube is now on sales for USD89.99. Normal price is USD119.99. U save around USD30 or roughly RM120. Really worth the money if u can't afford nvidia shield.
*
Definitely. It is more affordable than the Nvidia Shield, so should be a better alternative. Thank you for sharing.

Is TX3 S905X3 or tx6 better for astro go?

Both is similar, but TX3 S905X3 is better in terms of hardware and software.
