Your TV OS is outdated & the latest Astro Go app now require at least Android 7.0..

You won't able to update your TV if the manufacturer hasn't releases any new update..

So you have two options:
> New Android TV
> Android box(recommended)

Now I know why I couldn’t install the apk in my dated smart tv.

I ended up installing on my mi tv stick. Took me a while to find an ios app (zank remote) to use the mouse function to navigate in the app.

Astro Go App For Android TV TV, Tizen and webOS Still Under Development

Almost a year ago Astro began small -scale testing of the Astro GO app on Sony and Sharp's Android TV smart televisions. After almost a year it has yet to be expanded to other manufacturers ’Android TV smart televisions which makes the existence of speculation the development was stopped especially after the Astro Plug & Play Box streaming box was launched today.

But during a question and answer session with the media just now, Astro representatives confirmed that the development of smart television applications is still being done. In addition to Android TV, apps for Samsung Tizen and LG webOS smart televisions are also being run simultaneously. Only at this time Astro is focusing first on supporting apps on their Linux -based TV boxes and existing smartphone apps.

Astro however did not give a date when this Astro GO smart television app will finally be offered to all their customers.

Search for astro go mod apk by musefilth in google,youtube and install it in your Android TV and Android TV Boxes.
