is there any model/brand of androidbox that is unroot like minix?

There are 2 main thing to stream video successfully using Astro app.
1. Not rooted - so that u can run the app
2. Widevine implementation on your device - so that you can stream DRM protected videos

For mibox , so far only the international version have the necessary widevine implementation to stream Astro DRM videos. If no widevine, u can run the app but u will only be able to stream non DRM protected videos via the app such as go shop channel. When u try to stream DRM protected channels u get the black loading screen only

majority of brands and boxes come unrooted.

note unrooted does not automatically mean astrogo will work!

but i am not so sure if that's all to it.

becos some hyppbox users say they can make it work; some cheap boxes also users can hide root and it works.

does that mean such unrooting or root hiding somehow brings about widevine/DRM decoding/decryption as well?

No ler, from what I understand widevine implementation can only be done in factory or in house. A certified PC is required to implement it.

but this does not explain how some hyppbox/other box can get to run astrogo... still no complete explanation!

Maybe those boxes does have widewine implemented , who knows haha. To confirm, need to run DRM info app and check. Probably with enough statistics, we can come to a solid conclusion.

All LG tv models have aotg in the app or only specific ones ?

Specific ones.. OS versions dependent. All LG TVs are not equal.

Hey you should check out the Mi Laser Projector 150" from Xiaomi. I looked into it for a bit when released and it seemed promising.
HiMedia Q10 Pro, Minix boxes like the Neo U1 and Neo U9-H, These 3 have been confirmed by multiple forummers, including myself (I use the Minix Neo U1) to run AOTG.. On the cheaper side, the Mecool M8S Pro L, a sub RM300 box just might be able to run it too. I just got one for a friend and will be setting it up next week. So will know for sure if it does or not.

Just subscribe unifi with unifi STB. New box so no playstore. Manage to install AOTG and tried run it first time. Been getting ‘purchase service temporary unavailable’. Anyone have any walkaround this issue? No playstore so unable to log in ID.
