Guys, on my GT1 ATV 7.1 ROM previously cant access AOTG with Chrome.

After I update Android Webview to latest version now able login.
You must tick desktop site in chrome setting before you surf to astrogo.astro.com.my.

However, when click any VOD or LIVE TV, before streaming starts one error pop out "streaming error..."

Is it AOTG built in player problem??

except for shieldtv, ATV is a pain for astrogo.... i have given up.

Hi guys anyone using astro on the go in mecool.
I tried to install astro on the go apk in mecool.
Able to download able to login and can view.
Problem is navigation, i do not know what i am selecting .
I use original remote, press can hear sound but cannot see what i am choosing.
Have to select randomly seriously iritatting, no idea where the selection stops.
I even fixed usb wireless keyboard direct to mecool and same navigation trouble.
No idea the apk bugs or remote not compatible to astro on the go app.

try with common wireless mouse. or airmouse.

Previously I heard someone used AOTG with browser in Mibox.
Just curious how it will perform with browser, but for my case it does not work!

If someone able to run AOTG with browser, please do mind to share the webview version with us.

I have successfully installed the AstroGo application in Sony Android Tv. Can play the channel streaming. But streaming was messy and not smooth. Is it due to a TV or app problem? internet is no problem. Netflix and other applications run smoothly.

Yr tv runs on androidtv os or ATV.

Do a search on this topic... "androidtv", "ATV", "androidtv astrogo"... u find hundreds of comments why yr experience.

For those non certified google android box users, please dont expect to play aotg/astrogo via chrome.. astro is very strict about DRM.. usually non cert google boxes either have hacked or non working DRM.. that is why some DRM conscious apps wont work properly on non cert for example disney+, hbo now.. so if u really content with watching astrogo on DRM/Google/Netflix certified boxes on the browser, please look for the said boxes only..

currently in our Malaysian market, only the boxes listed below are DRM/Netflix certified

Xiaomi Mi Box
Amazon FireTV (Cube, Stick)

I will try to borrow a Mibox ATV from friends and check both Apk and browser method with updated webview.
Will update finding later.

An installed webview is not necessarily put into use.

Best is to confirmed that it is actually put into use by turn on developer options. Some firmware even though developer options is turn on, it also won't allow one to change webview implementations, in which case need to install a different developer options app.

dont waste ur time trying the apk version of aotg.. live tv hd lagging.. i previously owned a mibox 3 and mibox s.. definitely not worth ur time..

as for the browser, live channel do play fine based on people's feedback, but there is slight out of sync audio.. usually for live telecast (live football etc)..

for example we see that the ball already crossed the line, 10 seconds later only the commentator shouted "GOALLL GOALLLL GOLASO GOLASO"

if u really want astrogo (only), no need to waste time and patience - rm100 will get a box that can do it - u know what it is.

BUT... if u want Netflix HD too, u get shieldtv pro which isn't cheap.

IF u want HD audio, AFR, full BDMV menu as well.... u gotta wait as there is no box on the planet that can do all that yet.

if i find one that fits the bill, i will be shouting!

Yes I already hv Tx3 mini for Astro go only, and using GT1 for other purpose like play media, gaming etc.
Plan to have a one ATV box that can do all above tasks.
Since I'm using Panasonic TV I really need a ATV box for the chromecast.
No budget for Shield
I dont need Netflix HD in box, the TV is already a Netflix TV.

Minix T5 and KM3 right on my budget and needs, but I would like to see it using S905X3 instead of S905X2.

what u r looking for, minix t5 should be ok.
but u need a user to confirm, if u need: astrogo will work; hd audio, AFR... haven't read/watched any full review.
last i read, it is ATV but can't do netflix HD/4k yet, in the works.
if not, wait for minix u22-xj , next feb i read.... this is a power box, should do what u r looking for.

this has just been launched - android9, ATV, youtube, netflix HD/4k.
but usb2.0, hdmi2.0b only, rj45 100mbps.
should be <rm400.
if it will be what is expected, it will also do hd audio, AFR, astrogo.
