Version 1, 2, 3 and 4 umm...function diffrences xD I forgot what are they. I got V3.

Just look for the company's logo. Or buy in Toys R Us. 100% Originial.

No, gender is by luck when you start your Tamagotchi. When it dies and the child takes over, the gender is by luck too.

These tamagotchis with infrared were known as Tamagotchi Connection..

The first version, bandai introduce the concept where two tamagotchis can interact thru infrared, get married and have offsprings.. The gender concept also being introduced in this version. It also introduced the "pause" option, which stops growth but continues time within the Tamagotchi unit, until the caretaker unpauses it.

The second version features new characters.. Gotchi Point (GP) which u get when u play games, were also introduced.. U can buy food and gifts by using these GPs.. Then, thru infrared, u can give the gifts to the other tamagotchis. Five "codes" are available on the V2 that unlock special items.

The third version has a little hump at the top.. Plus 20 new characters.. can also be used with Tamatown.com which generates codes which the user can input into the toy and receive souvenirs, which are items that the user can look at (but the Tamagotchi can't play with or eat them). Passwords also give the shop items and food, which cost Gotchi Points. The Tamagotchi can eat the food that the user buys in Tamagotchi Town. Other than the code from the Nintendo DS Game, the passwords unlocked on the pet or on TamaTown.com will not work on any other Tamagotchi, thanks to the username system on both Tamatown and the Tamagotchi itself.

The fourth version has a TamaTown separate from the TamaTown for the Version 3. By putting a password and username on the screen, the user can earn Gotchi Points in the Version 4 TamaTown. They will also be able to see their character on the computer screen. There is a school and a kindergarten that the Tamagotchi can visit in TamaTown. Tamagotchi Connection V4 has new connection options. Not only can the player go to this icon to connect to another Tamagotchi but can also use it to have their Tamagotchi go to school or to work.

for V4, u can have carrier for ur gotchis.. that's why they need to go to school.. yup, V4 can connect with V1 - V3

Asian designs is not as nice as the one selling in US Tried find it at e-bay but most of them dont ship to worldwide or malaysia If it does,it will cost almost rm200.It's not worth to get it I like the one glow in dark and plumeria!!

I saw white colour at hk e-bay. It is same as the one we had it in Malaysia but does it have white colour here ?

which white colour? i saw two white colour for v4, one is translucent white and the other is white bead or something. i like the latter one, but hard to find online even.

I played tamagotchi wif my K800i, but it didnt work well since it will be shut down(no growth on my tamagotchi) if I exit the games.

checked at 1utama's toys r us.. but couldn't find the white V4..

read at the internet, bandai will release a pair of tamagotchi.. boy n gal.. u don't have to raise them like usual but the most important thing is u must always connect them together.. then the love will bloom...
