Two Navy men die while training in Setiawan, Perak
PETALING JAYA: Two Navy personnel died after complaining of exhaustion while carrying out physical training in Setiawan, Perak on Friday afternoon. Laskar Kelas 1 (Able Rate) Mohd Baihaqi Nik Mat, 28, and Laskar Kelas 1 (Able Rate) Muhammad Lailatulman Mohd Sukri, 26, of the Sungai Wangi unit were taken to the detention room where they passed away. The two were carrying out physical training according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), the Navy said in a statement. "They complained of exhaustion while carrying out the training and were given rest in the detention room. "They were experiencing vomiting, exhaustion and shortness of breath," the statement said. The two were given initial treatment by staff at the detention room and an emergency call was made before they were pronounced dead by paramedics who arrived at about 3.15pm. The statement said that initial checks by the doctor on duty showed that there were no sign of beating or physical abuse on the bodies of the two personnel. "However, we cannot rule out any possibility of the real cause of the death," it said adding that police were investigating the case with full cooperation from the Navy. The Navy said it has formed an investigation body to look into existing SOPs and if there was any breach in the SOPs. It said it would not compromise or protect those who breach procedures while carrying out their duties. QUOTE(MilitaryMadness @ Oct 6 2017, 03:21 PM) According to agreements made during end of Suharto era, position of Chief of the TNI should have been rotated between the 3 main services. Somehow the TNI-AD got their chiefs appointed for the position twice in a row for unexplained reasons (this term should have been the Chief of the TNI-AU's turn). malaysia used to have ptl and ptu as pat.. will this practice continue in the future or these were just one-off practice? From what I hear now both TNI-AL and TNI-AU are pissed off at Jokowi already for pandering on what they see as blatant TNI-AD attempts to control the armed forces. Now add the fact that General Gatot is somewhat ultra-nationalist and has been known to have a reputation as a loose cannon. |

Will m109a5 procurement from Us be affected as a result of our vote against Us in UN meeting?
US already saying that they will take ' name' the country that voted against them and will probably cut the financial aid.. According to this websites, in 2018, malaysia will received around 2.4 m USD https://www.foreignassistance.gov/explore/country/malaysia |

Let's see whether Trump is really serious.. the way I see it, the statement was a political statement.. trump wants to show his supporters and voters that America is strong and don't care about world opinion..
Btw, the total of the fund for 2018 financial aid already been slashed by half.from 40b to 20b |

QUOTE(KLboy92 @ Dec 23 2017, 08:38 PM) I really dunno mah Most probably....Have only read in Western news article that exact description: "few Usd per head per day" DDG so the soldiers get Rm5k per month? then surely the gross pay from UN to Msia is a lot more than that! There was talk/speculation in the past that we may use that money to buy our neighbor made 6x6 APC to be sent to Lebonan...32 units for USD 80 mil... Last2,we just sent our 'recond' Condors.. we may 'songlaped' the money a little bit This post has been edited by patt_sue: Dec 23 2017, 11:34 PM |
