U do know that the ship was tailored with russia air defence equipment and then stripped clean when the deal fell through.French Mistral-class in front, Egyptian Mistral Anwar al Sadat behind... look closely at its air defence. ![]() ![]() When egyption bought over, it a empty shell. As stop gap, their existing avenger will be used for short range defence. Eygpt is in talk with russia on rearming the mistal with original equipment again together with attack helicopter. Even they switch to western system, it not like they can get a RAM or more advance SEA Ram like off a hardware store. All go through congress again as egypt relationship with western is not in their best day after the arab spring accusations |

Surely trade deals are one of the best ways to secure diplomatic ties?Even they switch to western system, it not like they can get a RAM or more advance SEA Ram like off a hardware store. They equate it as working with the two headed snake. Would be much cheaper to just rearm the original system the russian installed. In talk for kh-52 but still an open ended question. Probbaly, eygpt is also haggling for a better price else western then. |

Reports say cash-strapped UK gov ready to secretly sell warships to South America
![]() The Royal Navy LPDs HMS Bulwark (above) and its sister ship HMS Albion is said to be part of the secret deal It’s being reported by multiple sources that Brazil and Chile have been given notice of “potential availability” of Royal Navy warships. Most notably reported by IHS Jane’s Navy International, it has been claimed by the outlet that Brazil and Chile have “quietly been given notice of the potential availability of RN frigates and amphibious ships”. Janes report that UK officials have “discreetly advised” that some of the frigate fleet in addition to the two Albion class landing platform docks could become available due to budget cuts. A number of Type 23 frigates plus two amphibious assault ships, the HMS Bulwark and the HMS Albion would be sold to Chile and Brazil under the plans. But last night sources within the department reacted with fury and dismissed the claims, denying there was any such plan to sell current ships to the South American nations. The UK Government is currently conducting a security and capability review, which is largely seen as a cuts exercise. Service chiefs have been told to find billions in savings over the next decade to fund an ambitious future modernization programme. QUOTE(RobMC @ Oct 26 2017, 08:49 AM) Many of these people in those days are poor. They did it for money/survival and they didn't even believe in those shit. These are the easy one to turn as long as you solve their problem. The hard ones are those who believe firmly in something, no money or whatever interest can move them other than what they believe. That's why islamists are hard to turn. They were born and thought to follow the book and the book told them to do certain things and they obey without question. The reward comes in afterlife and they give no fuck to authorities in this life. and not just poor, some of them cannot do anything as their family was living near or in the black area, on the assurance that their family to be rescued by the security forces they will turned against and help the security forces.Give more credit to the muslims, I am one and you never see me going ranting about fighting for the glory afterlife by killing my fellow Malaysian. yes there is some but there much more that are against it. |
