Based on the details and the warranty of 3 years, I think this is not exactly the X85E, its most likely the commercial variant which has a different model code. Don't know whether the specs are similar to the X85E.

I'm the TS originally asking for recommendation for the TV. I ended up getting the LG 65SJ850T (http://www.lg.com/my/tvs/lg-65SJ850T)

Since purchasing it last year around October till now, I've had the panel replaced once due to vertical line appearing while watching the TV (usually around 1-2 hours in)

After replacement, the same problem has started appearing again.

I'm not sure if I got a lemon unit or this model is defective, anyway it's so heartbreaking to see my almost brand new TV like this T.T

I've also found out the line goes away if I apply gentle pressure at the bottom edge where it appears. Just a gentle press and it goes away.

Waiting for LG to come again for the 2nd round. In the meantime, any idea on why this is happening / how to fix this?

FWIW, I think the local dimming feature advertised for this model is not worth it. The picture quality is nice, but the local dimming usually results in patchy white spots all over as the TV tries to "switch off" all the dark areas so that it appears blacker.

Any latest promo for 65” TV.

Saw Desa Home Theatre ads Sony 65x8500 selling for RM5999 with RM550 voucher.

Based on Rtings review, X8500F appears to be an IPS panel except for the 85" model. Better to get X8500E or the Samsung MU7000 since its only RM5k now for the 65".

Hi. I have Rm450 worth of Desa Home voucher selling at Rm225. Anybody interested? Their price is very competitive.

Deciding factor:
1) Budget, the difference should be about RM2000
2) Colour reproduction, the 7000e's colour look slightly bland or flat compared to 8500e.
3) Android TV is clunky, but if you have your TV hooked to a console, just use the apps at your console.
4) UPscaling available on 8500e

Different people have different expectations, if you don mind the less premium PQ, then go for the 7000e
Sound quality is crap for this tv, so use the money saved to get a HT-X9000F 2018 soundbar (RM2k) ;p
