Hi all

I am looking for a good, trusted & professional (if not the best) vet in Klang Valley. Cost is no issue.

My dog is very sick, he hasn't eaten for two weeks or so (on and off). Lost about 5 kilos or more. Suspected liver failure by the first vet and was given medication, it didn't help, second vet diagnosed distemper (again) and was given a shot yet it didn't help. He's only one year and 2 months old. I can't afford to lose him after his sister died.

He would only eat fried chicken now, not even stir fried beef can make him salivate like a good fried chicken could. However, he vomited blood this morning - which led me to believe he may probably have stomach cancer or something.

I am desperate for help. Can someone point me to a vet who can help? or at least diagnose what is really wrong?

He is a Husky-Mongrel breed.

I usually take my furry pet to VPAC in Kuchai Lama. Just Google and you can find it. They seem OK to me. Good reviews too.

If distemper no cure only hope is too boost the immunity system , feed plenty of water very crucial. Force feed if u have too. The poo got super horrible smell or not  redish macam blood ? This is one of the symptoms of distemper
*
No poo. Vomit.

Don't think is distemper , but u can follow how they treat distemper. Parvo distemper the virus won't kill the dog but what really kill the dog is the after effect kena those virus , secondary infection ,  body dehyrated , immunity system down that why when kena those 2 must force feed , give plenty of water etc. Parvo distemper treatment is expensive cos labour entensive , but if u know they way can really cut down the cost one. IV drip is expensive but can swap with force feed glucose water etc. If yr case is liver failure u really need to get vet opinion on it , a blood test will know for sure liver problem or not , yr dog on what kibbles ?
*
Don't feed kibbles. Home cooked food.

First vet diagnosed it as liver failure/problem as it was producing too much something, I don't know what it was cos my brother was there. so the dog's body became too acidic.

Deane contributors,

Thanks for your input.
Sent him to a vet the other day to draw more blood for blood test. He came home all jolly and looking fine after that... collecting the result anyway to know what the problem was...

Could be tick fever , the blood test u get dy ??
Tick fever transmit by tick but it won't have this sickness instantly one , the virus can hibranate for few month until the dog body not strong enough and the active
*
Yup. Doc says tick fever from the test. Probably like you said it was hibernating...

If tick fever , keep feed water and plenty of food. Additionally u can feed those supplement to boost immunity will help one.
*
Yup. We had to force feed him during the period he was sick. And here's the thing, if it's tick fever, how the hell did the first two vets were unable to diagnose it... very unhappy with their service.

Can pm me which 2 are those lol will tell my shelter Ppl don't go XD.
Blood test also got a lot type , the symptoms u mention hard to tell is what sickness that why I ask for blood test result , certain reading from the test can tell u what is the problem. If no blood test all is just guessing game.
*
First and third vet did blood test.

First one said liver issue. Producing too much acid or something.

Third one says tick fever.

I'll PM you the clinic's name.
