"You can think of the Snapdragon 650 like a Honda Civic with a small nitrous boost, while the Snapdragon 625 like an Accord. The Civic will go faster when the nitrous is engaged for that short while, but overall the Honda has the better and faster engine.

The 650 has indeed twin faster high performance cores, but due to the 28nm older manufacturing process and the lack of FinFet transistors, it will heat up faster and guzzle more battery. It will have that boost for a short period but a phone like the Redmi Note 4 wouldn’t be able sustain that level of performance for long without overly heating the phone or draining its battery quickly.

The 625 thanks to its 14nm FinFet architecture is more efficient. It can run at its top 2GHz clock speed for longer and without heating up. While doing so it will also not drain out the phone’s battery. "

I'm not sure why most users hate the SD 625. It might be slower but at the same time it's much cooler and your component won't easily hot, melt, hang or reboot. hmm.gif

To me, SD650 is like a 2.0NA Honda Accord (big cc old tech-28nm-, but not fuel efficient -battery-)
SD625 is like a 1.5 turbo Civic (small cc+ turbo -new 14nm tech-, similar performance but more fuel efficient)

USB Type-C for charging/data syncing
The Mi A1 may come with a smaller 3,080mAh battery as compared to the Redmi Note 4's humongous 4,100mAh battery but unlike the latter, the former ships with a USB Type-C for charging and data syncing: a rarity in phones in this price range. The Mi A1, in addition, also ships with a 380V charger so it can withstand India's varying voltage fluctuation needs.

Since Android One reduces extra work to push updates, the phone can be cheaper cause OS is all handled by Google.
And hes talking like stock android is better than Miui Lol despite Xiaomi pushing miui so much.

With stock android we can easily get constant update and security patch. no more pre installed unwanted apps or bloatwares me thinks. Simplicity is the key word here.  hmm.gif

Yup fastest updates cause the OS itself is handled by google. It only comes with basic google apps. I had a Nexus 5 n really liked it.
