i'm on the same boat as u, from N5
difference is i haven't bought, waiting review
but am not going to other phone after experienced pure android

my N5 still no lag, the secret?..i dnt update my phone
i stopped updating my phone since 6.0.1, i notice since long ago..the more u update to the newest version, the more lag is becomes
and that kind of resolves my phone and tablet lag issue

im not worried abt the OS part, im afraid because its a xiaomi
im also targetting a used pixel after new pixel is announce soon, also targetting a used one plus 3 and above

not 1k of course
now used around close to 2k
so when pixel release, after sometime, it should fall to around 1.5k which is still an acceptable price actually
which is also around 50% of the price of the new pixel

i have updates pending actually, just that i refuse to proceed with the updates
because i know the more i update it, it will eventually lag

setting im not sure
but all the apps in your own phone will be downloaded into your new phone automatically
they hold the list of apps u have(your google account)
all the contact are backed-up at your google account as well, automatically can see one login to your new phone

how is that a fair comparison
N5 is old
A1 is light years ahead of N5
way newer processor, way more ram, way way more storage

i dnt need to do that, just dnt update will do
plus my storage finished already, left 200Mb

doesn't just apply to thise actually
all android phone that has a google account logged in will be entitled for unlimited full res photo backup

if am not wrong is unlimited(with resolution limitation) when google mention its unlimited
16MP resolution if not wrong
which i think refers to "high quality" there

for me its useless since i dnt backup pic into google photos

plug the USB to PC
On the phone, pull down the notification
tap "USB for charging"...change to "file transfer"

there is no such thing as "more add ons" or because this is android one
THIS IS how pure android looks like, and its not gonna add anything more things into it, its how google released it
its not that it "lacks feature"...all the feature u need are all in there...just its not directly accessible from the front page
u need extra steps to trigger it from settings or added by the company itself separately and those are the stuff that makes the whole OS lag
those MIUI, they added shortcuts for the features thats you're talking abt

its a no brainer

IMO, this looks really bad
that bad blurring ruined the whole picture

that blurring is your self edit or from the camera?
if from camera, that software is doing a very bad job
that blur effect is very inconsistent with no pattern

the camera autofocus should get it right
not your fault, its the camera software...if this came out of "auto" thn the software is doing a very bad job
