Hello...anyone have this lens, Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG macro. How is it? Mind to share any pics taken by this lens? And pls quote the price that u get too. thanks i'm actually thinking to get this lens, but have no idea how much it cost and how is the quality

Just bought this lens this monday.

Get it at Penang around RM735, KL price not sure though.

Never really got chance to test it outdoor too.

This lens is the "best of the worst" tele zoom lens that i can afford. Build quality is ok, the mount there is metal, not plastic.

Shortest focus distance from subject is 1.5m, when u using 200mm-300mm, u can turn on the macro mode and the focus distance can be reduced to 1m.

Focus speed is acceptable but nothing to shout about.

Focusing speed is slow to me. and the focusing is loud.

Get it from Photo President Gurney, not sure whether u still can get this price since i bought this in 1 set. Or maybe u can get cheaper elsewhere.

I have the photo but it is better u go to the shop to touch it yourself and try it out. During the purchase, I compare this with Nikon 70-300G.

Yah, focusing is quite loud, this ain't AF-S lens.

Just make sure you buy the lens that you need. Dont just buy for the sake of buying or showing off

i need 300mm and i dont need a very advance lens at the moment...that is y i go for singma..which is the cheapest lens of 70-300mm

ya..Nikon things are always cheaper, but i'm going to get 400D, so nikon 70-300G cannot fix in
