KUALA LUMPUR: Magnum Jackpot prize money is expected to exceed RM30mil this weekend.

With the cascading feature, if no one wins Jackpot1 on Saturday, punters who strike Jackpot2 will share an extra RM10mil.

This will be the second cascading for Magnum Jackpot this year, according to a statement by Magnum.

The highest Jackpot1 in Magnum history since the 4D Jackpot game was launched was RM33,822,299.

Last December, two persons won Jackpot2 and shared an extra RM10mil as there was no winner for Jackpot1.

Magnum Jackpot2 is won almost every draw and with the cascading feature, it is now possible to win extra millions in Jackpot2.

Police arrest two women for opening lottery business in Kelana Jaya during MCO

PETALING JAYA: Two women were arrested for illegally opening a lottery shop during the movement control order here.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said the incident occurred around 2.50pm on Wednesday (Jan 20).

"We arrested two 36-year-old women outside the licensed lottery premises in Kelana Jaya.

"They were arrested for operating a business not listed as essential services during the MCO," he said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 21).

He said police seized seven slips of paper with numbers written, two slips of already purchased numbers and RM147 in cash.

Meanwhile, ACP Nik Ezanee said two foreigners were arrested for operating an unlicensed car wash.

"The two men, aged 29 and 47, were arrested at around 2.10pm in Kelana Jaya.

"They failed to produce a letter of permission to operate," he said.

In another unrelated case, three men were arrested for not wearing face masks.

"The three, aged between 31 and 40, were arrested at a restaurant in Kelana Jaya around 3.10pm," he said.

ACP Nik Ezanee urged the public to comply with the MCO standard operating procedures.

"We do not take pleasure in making these arrests and issuing compounds but it is necessary to help curb the spread of Covid-19," he said.
