I just came back from OSAKA and 2 days at USJ on 30-31 Aug with 3 kids , Sharing some of the tips

Basically I stay at nishikujo AIRBNB , only two station to Universal City , A house with 2 floors, Living/Kitchen and upstairs Bedroon wit 4 Beds (Can fit 6 peoples) = USD 370 for 5 nights , 10 minutes walk to Nishikujo station. (Direct Train to Airport from this station)

Basically opening hours is around 8.30 (make sure you reach there 1 hour around 7.30 to queue masuk)

You may want to consider going to USJ if the closing hours at 9.30/10pm, more time for your ride

Tickets - Dont buy tickets at USJ Booth on that visiting day, the crowd too long
If you plan for one day pass and express pass, buy from https://www.klook.com/ , once purchase you no need to exchange for physical tickets and queue to masuk using the QRCode given by Klook or you can print out.

Basically this special ticket let you masuk 15-30 minutes before the park open. That might help you to direct masuk and queue for popular ride as Harry Porter/Minions/Flying dinasaur but I am not buying as i think wasting money


Two days pass - Buy at USJ website - http://www.usj.co.jp/ticket/ (you need to translate to english) , go google for sites on guide to buy online.

For birthday boys/girls within your family (parents/kids) the month + next month you get additional discount for the whole family

Two methods to receive ticket when you buying on USJ website

Direct In
Meaning once you purchase , you be given the QR Code, print out and use that to check in

Park Exchange
Meaning you need to exchange the physical ticket at USJ booth, Don't use this method if you buying for 1 day pass
As for me I buying for 2 day pass and claiming for birthday discount , so basically I went to USJ a day before and exchange the ticket around evening at guest service counter so you can queue to masuk rather than queue to exchange ticket during the entrance day)
(Please note you need to show the credit card that you use to purchase online else you wont get ur tickets.)
