QUOTE(sHawTY @ Aug 30 2019, 05:40 PM) Some people would say number 1 is better But to me number 2 is better because less dust would go into the router instead of directly blowing into the router Where do you install the radiator sheet between router & fan or between fan & grill? Is it better to suck hot air or blow cool into the router? This post has been edited by nitehawk: Jan 12 2020, 09:40 PM

QUOTE(JayceOoi @ Jan 25 2020, 07:58 AM) Yes, if don't need Merlin firmware and using AiMesh. Get AX11000 is better choice. Is it possible to use Merlin firmware on RT-AC86U and still maintain AiMesh functions?

QUOTE(JayceOoi @ Jul 13 2020, 04:27 PM) I am back to Merlin firmware due to AiMesh issue on latest official firmware - need to reboot several times everyday. Maybe you should too. How to install Merlin firmware?

QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Jan 7 2022, 02:12 PM) I bought this too but I am not sure how to stick it to the back of the router. If I want to suck air out, where do I place the double-sided tape?

QUOTE(jimbet1337 @ Jan 7 2022, 05:06 PM) The one shown in the picture is air suck in = the circle double sided sticker is on the 'BOSSTOP' label. Air suck out, I believe you can't put the double sided sticker on the fan centre (spinning part, unlike the label on the other side, which is fixed), so you may need to put the double sided tape on the fan frame, or maybe glue. I set the fan to suck air in but once in a while I check the dust level and vacuum out if required. Thanks for the tips.
