I switched to one of my AC68Us and the IPTV issue doesn't exist on any firmware. Did note that IGMP snooping is disabled on the AC68U and it has no impact on IPTV connection. This seems to be some unusual issue with the AC86U. Speed is excellent on 32799 and Download Master works. 45149 breaks Downlaod Master so I won't be using it. |

My AC-86U just came back from RMA. Still turned to shit. The did some firmware fix and claim my 2.4GHz works. Failed again in a day. This sucks. I sent back to the shop as I don't want to go all the way to Puchong. But looks I'm going to have to do that. Back to my AC-68U then. I'm on firmware 45717 now. Anyone else have problems with 2.4GHz going dead suddenly? If I turn on SmartConnect, both 2.4 and 5 GHz will go down. Only works after a reboot. I can't be doing this every day. It's stupid.

So fed-up at this point. Asus Malaysia warranty policy need to return the whole set for replacement and no on the spot replacement available. WTF. Just power brick. So obviously dead. Really no idea which other brand router to go for right now. Nothing quite like Asus with all the other stuff I need (AiDisk, Download Master, etc).Change a new SSID name. Or new SSID password. |
