planning to buy a router for the unifi turbo upgrade to 800mbps

1) router signal must be strong enough for 2 storey house, 22x75 house
2) with mu-mimo
3) budget around RM600 +/-
4) support unifi
5) wifi speed is not a big issue for me.
6) Saw your mi router pro review, but it must have smart switch right? is it worth to get for unifi?

thinking of getting the AC86U. hope to clarify a few things...

1. anyone here got china units from local shopee sellers? stated 3 years warranty.
2. does this router still have issues with unifi tv with latest firmware? as in need to wait long for unifi tv to connect and run?

After struggling troubleshooting the wireless instability, flashing firmware back and forth, im officially announce that my ac86u is now dead. Well not 100% dead, only the 2.4 radio is kaput.

Using official firmware?

I am back to Merlin firmware due to AiMesh issue on latest official firmware - need to reboot several times everyday. Maybe you should too.

Did you factory reset after flashed new firmware?

Yes, of course. You are changing firmware from official to custom one. Even downgrade official firmware should factory reset too.

Based on my test on Merlin firmware, it is very stable. No need to reboot for several days already.
