I'm currently considering buying a condo unit and it's on the 8th floor. However there's a BBQ pit just next to this condo block. There is limited units to choose from and this is so far the best in terms of floor level and price.

I'm quite concerned with the noise and smell of the BBQ. For those who have experience staying next to BBQ pit, I would like to find out from you whether it is really that bad or am I just being paranoid?

My friend's luxury condo has BBQ party almost every week. Guests just park outside of the condo. The whole area smell like BBQ the entire weekend evening !! That's very bad. I hope my future condo doesn't have this problem.

Thanks for all your inputs. My wife insisted to go with the unit besides the BBQ pit, on the 8th floor. The BBQ pit is not visible from the balcony though. However one of the smaller room windows can see the BBQ pit. Other units of choice are either low floors or facing west sun. In the end we went for the best of the worst units.

There r 3 other gourmet areas, 2 grilling pits and a teppanyaki pit, all spread out around the condo area. Hopefully the crowd will be diverted.
