I was recommended to a guy called Kheng at the Guitar Store in Sri Hartamas for fingerstyle acoustics, particularly if your influences are Tommy Emmanuel.

haha another Kotaro Oshio fan~ welcome to the world of acoustics!!
Kotaro Oshio mainly is flamenco style coupled with percussions on the acoustics. I believe if you learn flamenco you should almost be able to play Oshio's songs. (thats how i learned it at least.. i had some flamenco basics and learned his songs by watching his use the techniques.)

Tommy Emmanuel is different though, he is pure acoustics/fingerstyle guitarist.

Also, i do not recommend to learn Oshio nor Emmanuel's style if you're an absolute beginner in guitar. Start from the very basics then slowly develop that to fingerstyle.

what kind of "courses"? care to elaborate? exam based courses? fingerstyle courses?
cause courses normally refer to something with standard syllabus and exam and stuff...
I stay in sunway by the way, but i'm no fingerstyle sifu, i can only teach basics to intermediate level general guitaring(no exam, just for fun). Else, there is a music school in PJS9 called Opus. They offer guitar COURSES that are ABRSM exam based.
