fyi, without the IME pack thing(i did the settings during xp installation)
you too can set the mickeysoft IME to either Chinese (PRC) 简体
or chinese (taiwan) 繁體

both input using pinyin method

for your information the default ime has not enough complete function... that's y i need a newer one. Even the newer IME doesn't recognise new phrase i have type and i don't know i cant enable so-called intelligent learning.

The defaut IME, let's say you wanna type Big5, which is traditional chinese, then you wanna swap to simplified, you have to go all the way into the setting to click it because something the toolbar just magically REFUSED to appear. I dunno why and cant find anyway to fix it since 1 year i ago i start using it.

for casual typing, MS IME it might be good enough, if you're playing online games or using it to type out length essay, it might be a bit time consuming. All these is user preference actually, i just felt that some suites me better, i like google ime cause the interface and the way it works is similar to Chinese Star 2001 which i have already familiar with during last time.

However, Japanese IME on MS is somehow not bad in my opinion

this tool is troublesome for me it pops up every few mins even after i turn it off using alt + shift. is there anyway to turn it off completely?

this might because you have selected "...as your default IME..." during end of installation of Google, change it back at "Regional setting" in "Control Panel", cheer

is a superb IME so far, support Unicode, other like Sogou not (though is nice piece of IME)

It Might be a CopyCat

Google Faces Plagiarism Questions Over Chinese Software -  Google's laboratory in China has launched its first product, a Pinyin Input Method Editor. The software allows the romanized characters to be translated to more traditional Chinese symbols , via entering on a QWERTY keyboard. Users soon discovered that the data Google used for the product was unusually similar to the data used by a Chinese rival, Sogou.

that is a grey region to fight for, think throughout about this then you'll know
