I recently realized now Grab has grabbed an additional 5% for their commission so no difference from Uber except the per distance/ minute trip.

But jam in KL is cancerous af so would it be more suitable to switch to Uber during late afternoon/ evening?

Isn't it better when we're caught in the jam? RM3 rides are the worst for me because I'm making losses.

At 25sen a minute. It wont matter unless the jam is 20-30 standstill jam. Anyway, for me, in JB, jam not so bad, so Grab pays better.

I see... I try to avoid KL trips if I can but sometimes those places memang drain all the petrol like Pavilion although the wait isn't all the way until 20-30 mins.

Many Uber drivers quit and drive for Grab as main.
Seasoned Uber drivers (like myself) getting lesser and lesser trip incentive.
And so I quit as well LOL...

When you are actively driving for Uber, the trip incentive will become lesser every week without fail.
When you are not driving (me), the trip incentive will shoot up to entice you to get on the road.
Well, I am from Klang Valley btw.

The e-mail that they sent to me last week was 12 trips rm70 - a far cry from the previous 24 trips rm35.

Drive for Uber when there is surge only.
Otherwise juz drive Grab all the way.

Grab also got demand surcharge. But kinda mafan to switch because Grab tends to load the trips back-to-back.

We won't know the surge rate till end of the trip.

Are you sure the 25 cent per minute is added in? Have you do some calculation or checking?

Maybe things had changed, last time I checked, it is not. When I complained to Uber, they said the fare is within their estimate, therefore, no adjustment.

But, at least for Grab, you know where the destination, up to you to accept or not. Uber you dont.

You don't need to know the surge rate %.
You have the total fare and destination listed clearly before accepting the trip - which is by far the greatest advantage compared to Uber.
I just regret that I have wasted time waiting for Uber to improve, I should have driven for Grab earlier.
