Definitely hotlink is much faster, just do a speedtest. They don't cap speed.

Actually if capped speed is exactly 5Mbps and stable it's still okay to use (see all those people still using 10Mbps Unifi). The problem is that when they cap and also have congestion, the effective speed that you get is intermittent and much lower.

Sometimes it doesn't even load at all. doh.gif

i think the no need turn on flight mode.
the carrier name will be umobile wifi biggrin.gif

Correct. No need to turn on flight mode. As long as Wifi calling is enabled. IINM we cannot turn on international roaming to use Umobile wifi calling right?

Anyone help?

It depends on the roaming partner. In SG, HK and Thai, you could get 4G. In Aussie, you would only get 3G. For Rm99 plan, roaming is FOC.

3g i mean here is not the speed, but the data size, last i check FOC only for 3G data only, so what happen if i roaming more than 3G?? Since i'll go to seoul around 2 weeks
*
You get 500mb per day roaming irregardless.

QUOTE(Syracuse @ Jan 11 2018, 08:09 AM)
TERER THURSDAY deals start at 8:00 a.m. on Thursdays, but logging in is tremendously difficult. On top of that, when I successfully logged in at 08:01 a.m., I got the message "This deal has been fully grabbed. Better luck next time.".

What is wrong with this entire TERER THURSDAY offer lasting for not even a minute? I don't even know if the offers are genuine - they could've just sent "fully grabbed" message to everyone, and nobody could know for sure.
*
U Mobile Terer Thursday has been a f@((#$& scam since last year. I dont think anyone even gets the gift anymore even if you keep camping at 8am. U dont read any posting they got the gift anymore right?
Come on la U Mobile, if u dont have anything to give, just end the offer. Dont keep promising things like u cant fulfill like upgrading your overly slow and congested network.

Wah.. its not that bad. Coverage is ok. Just that data could be a bit slower at outskirts areas and congested areas.

So far I'm using P48 data to stream YouTube 1080p also no problem, the speed is good

I'm pretty unsure with the 1080p stream with 5mbps on YouTube...
*
I think it boils down to the location you are at. At some locations it is good, while at some others its at bad as no data at all.

Intermittent loss of network in Petaling Jaya. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. What’s the point of giving unlimited data?

Well, cheap doesn’t equal to good and good doesn’t equal to cheap. For me, it’s slow at my house in Puchong but it’s all right coz I have my own WiFi. Speed at my office in damansara and also bukit jalil is excellent. Watch YouTube without any lag. So far so good. Anyway, still too soon to say but need to lower expectations as it’s not a rm150 plan.
*
Its not about the speed, its about no network coverage. Don't even need to talk about network speed when you have no coverage in the heart of KV.

Question: I will be travelling overseas (Manila) very soon. Do I need to ask counter to enable roaming in order to receive maybank TAC, or no need to enable roaming at all?
*
As long as you have international roaming enabled, you can receive TAC.

just saying, i brought my phone overseas many years ago... the phone auto registered to a local telco there.. it was a prepaid line btw, digi if im not mistaken

i can still get TAC for M2U transactions. i didnt even get charged for those TACs... but i dont received or make call from that phone la, just used for M2U
*
Means your phone is roaming on a local Telco there. If roaming is not activated, your network cant be registered to any local Telco overseas.
