Hi guys, wanna ask about UM wifi calling before port in. Is it mean even though I’m roaming in any overseas country but after connect to wifi, all calls are considered as “local” MY call? So will deduct minutes from my local MY call plan?
*
Wifi Calling from overseas to Malaysia will be charged per your local calls plan. Wifi calling when roaming to overseas number wil be charged per IDD rates.

Why want to do wifi calling when can use facetime, or whatsapp call?

Mobile to mobile, yes you can use apps to call but for landline it is very useful to have wifi calling like now I don't have coverage at my place since UMobile "upgraded" their antenna. This is my final week with UMobile. Plus older folks not into mobile phone.

UMobile website need to update their store locator list for name change/mnp/account update. 1318 CS also need to update their knowledge, gave me wrong info when I called to confirm. Yesterday was a very long day still can't mnp yet when the girl messed up my account to change one of my postpaid to prepaid as a result the process is "stuck" online and can only be cleared tomorrow. The supervisor apologies for the error and she will personally follow up. I hope they did not delete my phone number as my SIM card is void.

I ported in recently to Umobile but I'm not receiving tac from banks. How many days would it take to resolve this issue ?

Generally speaking from my experience, report to UMobile 1318 first and then follow up with the bank. The bank usually will tell u it has nothing to do with them as they do not know which telco you are using or change. When we request for OTP / TAC the bank will just send it out as requested.

I really like to see UM gives the big 3 more competition but at the rate they are going about setting up their new network it is driving away customers. In my place I have no network since August 15 and I finally port out last night. Their various phone packages are very suitable for my family but pointless when the coverage is poor. Until UM gets them right, will stay away for now.

i has been away for msia for a year, used to be loyal customer of umobile
it has been extremely fast since the first i used
but since i got back in msia this month, is there something wrong recently? the speed is sluggish, unstable, cant even load instagram picture properly
what happened?

UM is putting up their network towers progressively as they are not renewing their contract with Maxis. Many of the towers placement have been in the wrong place and coverage drop. But some areas that had poor coverage had made improvements. Really good.

I had no coverage for 3 months before I gave up and mnp. But I was just informed that they have now upgraded my place and I was told to test it again if I decide to mnp back to UM.

Hi, would like to ask, I just request to port out umobile yesterday at 4pm. But until now still not yet success. SMS verification already done.
Last time I do mnp only few hours can done. Is there anyway to speed things up? I might need to change telco today, due to my place umobile always show no service and my family can't reach me.
*
You will probably get an answer 24 hours later from the time you confirmed the text or anytime after the deadline set from UMobile confirmation text if there is no complication. This is my recent experience from UMobile about 2weeks ago.

Previously when I MNP from Maxis within 4 hours after my text confirmation, Maxis approved my MNP. I believe most telcos now takes their time to approve your MNP.

Hello Boss,

Is there a minimum tenure or duration-of-stay before a newly registered Umobile prepaid can mnp out? ..... (I tried searching for this here but got a headache looking for it ...)

Thanks a bunch.
