GX30 is good value for money no doubt. But if you guys can afford GX50, then by all means go for it.

not sure about U GX30 prepaid, but passive mode UMI can't call/sms due to barred (online is working even passived).
GX50 (now RM40) is better with free calls but it's postpaid...
*
What do you mean by "GX50 (now RM40)"?

It's about U Mobile's online port-in offer.

Is it usable for day to day use?

Depends on area i guess. If the area is not congested, 3mbps would do just fine (with reasonable expectation, of course).

I do 3 top up today (10+10+5). First rm10, I get 10 days validity, until 18/9 and I make another top up afterwards. However validty period still until 18/9. I thought rm1 = 1 day validty so I should get 25 days rite? Weird
*
You need to topup RM25 in one transaction if you want to get the 25 days validity.

It depends, no definitive answer for this kind of question. This applies to all telcos.

now Yes 4G has launched unlimited data at 4Mbps.

just to compare with Umobile's 3Mbps, is the speed sufficient to watch netflix, youtube full hd etc... ?
*
Depends of the area i guess.

But the best way to determine this would still be the actual testing done at your place.
