Just want to ask for opinion. Currently on Digi plan but no free sms between telcos. Use sms more for communications. Planning to switch to U78 but afraid no coverage or slow connection. Heavy data users so sometimes need to topup data. Thanks for any suggestions. Cheers.

Used Unlimited Game-Onz 70. Login steam used 4GB data quota instead of dota unlimited. So 4GB is over, frequently loss connection to steam server. How to play if you are not connected to steam. Genius.

It is depend for the coverage. Sometimes good n sometimes bad.
Previously got 2 U number prepaid, but one of U number already port out to others due to others telco offer exclusive plans to me.

But don't expect much for U if you stay slightly out of the town or inside theand building.
My one walk in to hypermarket or mall straight away roaming by MY maxis line.
The network is totally crap with 1 bar signal only (just like 10 years back of D**i telco) More worst you only see "Emergency call only".

I'm not sure how u utilize the data even if you have free data with 1 bar roaming by maxis 2G.
Nowadays U plan not much attractive already, I still prefer the previous old plan which I retain it until now.

Yup..  Their service sucks big time.. But plan / package is okay..

The browser is basically using a proxy server to redirect data so the U Mobile actually thought that was not video streaming. Nothing rocket science here.

all i need to do is just to go to the counter and tell them i want a nano sim?

as the current sim on my mother's phone is the bigger one

her new phone needs to use nano sim now
but the thing is the registered person is under my brother's name and my brother is currently not in malaysia

can i just walk and in tell them to change to a nano sim? lol

2. Does it effect the hotspot quota if tether to laptop?

3. Is it possible if I put the sim card in a usb modem and connect it to my laptop?

Actually how is the hotspot data counted? Is this only available under the Broadband plan?

I am thinking of subscribing to their plan and using a usb modem, plug it to a router and share the connection as wifi to other devices?
i think some router supports this kind of function but for umobile plans is this possible?
How will the data be counted under this arrangement?

Not trying to "cheat" them. Actually looking for better alternatives to my current lousy Streamyx service and was thinking since i am their user tempted to give their broadband a try. And while at it, since my home network is already setup to the current wifi router which i just bought and have this dongle port, maybe i can fully utilize this feature.

Btw, hotspot way means data is counted differently and not from the allocated quota, i.e. 12GB for their rm68 plan?

another questions is if i tether from my phone and more than one device is connected, is this also considered hotspot?
