 What's the output quality between AV & HDMI?, Any reference links?

What's the different between AV & HDMI quality in term of video? I always heard that HDMI have better quality in video & sound. If I bought a PS3, will there be any big different whereter I using AV or HDMI cable on the same LCD screen? Si there any links where I can refer to?

If you're plugging directly from your PS3 to your LCD TV, you'll still get Stereo sound. To utilise what HDMI can offer, you'll need to plug your PS3 to a receiver and then from the receiver, another HDMI to your TV. The sounds from your PS3 will be decoded at the receiver and then to your 5.1/7.1 speakers connected to the receiver.

AV - only output 480p

HDMI or Component Video - output 480p, 720p/i and 1080p/i
