Pogba is missed.. he would hold & shield the ball. Saint really press hard. Miki & mata just cant keep up. Fellaini not known for keeping possession also. Subs should came earlier.. mata miki not functioning

We are 2nd best but positive we can defend well and deserve 3 point by it. Saint the better side but not really threatening

Wonder why Jose didn't start Herrera... saving him for Champions League perhaps?  hmm.gif
*
Herrera spot taken by matic now.. and matic form been great. Fellaini closer to pogba sort of player and his sub performance this season warrant him to start ahead

Expect him to come in as sub next game or two before start

Yay another 4 goals and clean sheet. Match united best start now wt 19 point.

But only palace.. still pointless and clearly the most struggling team. Real test next game.. and international break

we can get full point for the rest of the 14 teams and get draws with the 5 top teams and might still win the league... but man city is posting a serious threat currently... lets hope more injuries come their way... their squad dept are no where close to the squad of Man Utd....
*
be realistic we wont get full point against 14 team. PL is a tough league.. along the way it will get harder with all other competition

i think united and city depth very much same level and hoping for injuries just wrong.. rather hope for injury free in united side than worry for others. i see no reason why we cant match city with full strength squad. competition for place to start been encouraging so far flex.gif

we still have herrera and carrick available right? matic still fit... jomo wont want to risk a big game w mctominay tho.. although he can be a surprise secret weapon
*
carrick also still injured.. bad news missing pog and fellaini at the same time

herrera and matic should start. mctominay will be subs.

rashford and martial both might start together if lukaku not fit

Would be a lost if we sell Martial to Barca.. We should at least get 80mil off him if we really sell.. But also a waste to see Martial only coming off the bench for Rashford. Rashford doesn't seems to have any improvement from last season where I see a different Martial this starting of the season. Rashford is lucky cause he's an English kid.
*
i would rate both level for now.. i would pick rashford too coz he is academy player and younger(more potential to polish). probably rashford work harder in training too

martial been impressive coming from subs.. but few times when game already won. less pressure and opposition seem tired. still not quite tested starting. deserve to start more

Mou said liverpool vs united game is 3 point not 4 point just like any other game but yet he choose to play for a point only... AGAIN.

Not sure i like this kind of united.. going to anfield for a draw simply not united way. The result is fair but the approach just too negative esp considering united and liverpool form this season

That's why I stick with JM philosophy. Play safe against big teams, & atk the rest. It works so far. Pundits can say what they want, in the end it's results that JM wants to deliver.
*
Liverpool game only our 1st game against big team.. too early to tell if it work in united way. Do know it doesnt work last season

Got no problem wt point shared.. away and still undefeated is a good result. But the approach just doesnt seem right. Why not even trying to play for a win. Why not playing our normal game. Arent we not good enough for a win. Dont think this sort of mentality is good in long run..

part of the blame has to go to the players, not just the manager. They cant even retain the ball possession or complete simple passes. Always overcomplicate the passes by lobbing the ball high even towards short range target. and aimless clearance high up the sky when they can just pass the ball nice and simple to teammates around.
*
As for possession and passing.. I see it down to mou restriction and set up. I see it is the game plan to not play simple pass and hold the ball. Just sit back and break liverpool play and clear the ball forward. While wide player restricted to go wider and higher up. Very strange seeing martial then rashford also got so deep and not trying to stretch opponent.

I think mou wait for liverpool to change for more offensive play but it didnt happen as klopp also doesnt want to take the risk and stay wt 3 man midfield and change front 3 instead

Mata stealh mode.. but unfair to put the blame. he only play half time. We werent got enough to penetrate on 2nd half. Hudderfield 1st goal also it was difficult pass from young..

United got an hour to draw the game.. collectively united just not good enough. Hudderfield want it more. Negative play effect? Hope this defeat will wake the players and motivate united back. Last 2 game before werent good either

Jose said Man Utd MF not able to match LFC
Then Spurs just rolled over LFC
So, JM will park bus at OT?
Few games already played bad but got away with it
But luck ran out vs Huddersfield
Better make a proper gameplan vs Spurs or Spurs will run riot at OT
*
Liverpool MF still look stronger than spurs though.. more possession, better at final 3rd pass but spurs very clinical going forward. Kane is the best striker in PL now. While liverpool defensively sure look the weakest among top 6.
Why la we didnt try for a win last time..

It seen more likely united gonna go defensive after this week result. Back to back to defeat at home somemore will be a disaster. Expect mou to assign someone to man mark kane closely

Herrera. Sigh. Another borefest performance from him.

From hero for last season to absolute shit now. Nemanja Matic is just class above this Sergio Busquets wannabe in every way. Now I know why we were lacking in creativity in midfield last season. Herrera is only a decent at best defensive-minded player whose attribute is only for marking opponent's playmaker.

Benchwarmer at best.
*
I dont think herrera is doing bad.. he is playing the role given to him. Breaking up play and pressing opposition. He aint there to provide creativity. Since last season he more of defensive mid.
If any miki the one should be the creative and link up player. Miki were poor again for few game already.. time to drop him

Yeah last few games herrera is poor but start finding rhythm in this game. Spurs mid were contain and barely create any.. benchwarmer? Hell no he clearly one of the performer last season and with injuries to pogba and fellaini he have to play

Wonder if Herrera is playing differently because of Jose's instructions?
He seems to be playing a more conservative safe role, although he did manage to attempt a few through balls forward (which was easily intercepted).
*
Herrera playing DMC last season.. and did great. Tons of interception and tackles. Stat dont lie.. his passing not quite a strong point. Should stick wt short and direct pass only. Playing him wt matic sure is not the best option but thts what we got now. Our passing were dissapointing collectively actually against spurs.. not suprise seeing our passing accuracy only 70% in this game
