Currently I am Unifi VIP5 user and I am going to terminate due to the following reasons:
- Expensive (RM156/month)
- Low internet speed
- Low usage

Im comparing the Maxis Go Wifi plan and found the RM78 plan come with 20GB quite suitable.

However, I have another alternative idea is to subscribe a Maxis Share line RM48, plug it into 4G LTE Modem to achieve WiFi sharing within my house. I am not sure this is workable

Note: I am MaxisONE plan RM128 user and I can share more data to the share line as my personal monthly data consumption is less than 6GB.

Considering data usage is very minimal, only general internet surfing.
- 2 users
- Connected to CCTV
- Connected to Alarm System
- Rarely stream video (I have Astro)

Option 1 - Maxis GO WiFi (20GB)
RM78 Plan + RM339 (Huawei 4G LTE Modem) + 12 months contract

Option 2 - Maxis Share Line (15GB Weekday / 15GB Weekend)
RM48 Plan + RM399 (Huawei 4G LTE Modem) + No Contract
Can connect to wireless dect phone and make unlimited call?
The Huawei modem has RJ11 port but not sure if it is feasible.

Not sure if option 2 is workable.
Please feel free to discuss.

If your usage of data is only 6gb per month under your Maxis One Plan 128 and wish to get another sim pureply for internet, you can actually walk in to any Maxis center and just apply for multisim, it is only RM15/month.

Yes, just applied few minutes ago.

RM15/Month.
Share your principal weekday internet quota
Able to make calls, unlimited
Unable to receive call.

After internet quota finish, internet speed slow down.

How does it work if the two SIM call together at the same time?

I decided to upgrade my existing MaxisONE plan from RM128 to RM158.

Apply multisim for my home mobile internet broadband.
Which is only RM15/month.

Then purchase the Huawei 4G LTE modem from Maxis.
Cost me about RM399.

Did some survey and only TPLink and Dlink has 4G LTE modem that c/w sim slot. Both brand cost above RM500.

Just sharing, I bought my TP-Link MR6400 4G SIM card from Lazada Rm415. I can't comment much as I just got it yesterday, still testing. I noticed that when I switched on my radio next to the router it reduced the signal bar from 4 to 3.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for sharing. Of course any electromagnetic radiated devices will interfere wireless signal.
I did consider to get the TP Link (Price @ Digital Mall is about RM500++), but it doesn't come with RJ11 port.

My house alarm need to connect to my modem using RJ11 to make calls if alarm trigger.
Hence, I am going for HUAWEI B315S-22 MODEM, which come with the RJ11 port. Need to purchase from Maxis.
