Who has applied this course for 2017/2018?
Any senior here, mind to share your experience? notworthy.gif

Hi there, I've applied for 2017/2018 session. Counting days to the 28th! A bit nervous here, it has been many years since I last left my zaman study lol.

How's your preparation? All docs ready for registration day?

When I first applied for this, I checked my application status by calling to their office because in their FB page lots of applicants other than myself are having the same problem like yours. In my case, I didn't even get any emails indicating that I was accepted. Longgggg after the confirmation via phone call, my application status changed to accepted.

Btw, today was the official registration day. I think it's best for you to call the B. Juris office and speak to their admin officers if they have received your application or not. Hope for the best!

I called the office today. And the staff said that whoever applied in August, their registration will be somewhere in October/ November. As they told mine is still in process and their in mid of reviewing the late applications. Maybe in a week or two, I will know the results.

@Starbucki , Around 10k to 14k for the whole course without lecture classes. With lecture classes maybe around 20k. For three years.

So since we might be sitting exams together next year ? would you care to share your study plan ? maybe we can join a forum that discusses subjects (more like a study group). If you know any do recommend me. This is my second degree in law actually. I end up getting third class in my LLB, so im taking up BOJ again.

That is quite reasonable. Do they give study material if we choose not to have lecture classes? For lectures, how often are they and is it during working hours?

So I guess one has to sign up for lectures in order to get more study material. Else got to find the texts to refer.

Waaa.. Such passion you have for law, and so highly motivated at that! Since you're already exposed to law subjects for years, I'm sure you're gonna pass with flying colours and unicorns. I'll pray for your success! You can do thissss biggrin.gif

I'd love to share my study plan, it's just that I haven't had time to look through and decide on which subjects am gonna take for the first year. I'll pm you once I'm done choosing. I might be taking just 3 subjects first as work is quite hectic. As for discussions / forums, I came across a few FB groups created for previous sessions, and I think there will be a group page for 2017/18 as well. Will surely let you know if I find it smile.gif

As of now, I've been following this wordpress page for updates and useful info - https://umjuris.wordpress.com/

Hi, finally we are done for our registration on 28 sep  nod.gif
Now I worrying whether I able attend the LEEP classes or not since I'm from other state, it is costly for me to travel everyweek cry.gif
*
Oohh you were there during registration day? Haha we never got to plan for a meet-up! Not sure if you noticed, I was the old aunty with colourful tudung asking the Senior Librarian En. Zaki on whether or not we're able to get the past exam questions from the library database hahaha XD

Maybe you can ask around if there're any classes held in your state. There was a girl I met who came from Penang, and she told me there are classes there, so she won't have to worry much about travelling expenses.

Yupp she said got classes in Penang but it's not under UM. It's something like a tuition class conducted by alumni I guess. If you're in Penang and would like to know more, I can ask that girl biggrin.gif

As long as you fulfill the entry requirements, it should be no problem..
*
Yes. The University contacted me and said that since i applied late at the final application period , it is still in process but she also said that my requirements are more than enough but have to wait until November for registration. Probably together with the continuing students of BOJ.But the exams will be like usual in August 2018. So guess I should just wait then. whistling.gif

Same problem here also. Since u have registered , have u registered for the exams and leep classes ? if yes , how's the timing ?? do u have the time table?
guess we have to get a friend u have attended all the classes. If i'm not mistaken, a senior did ( my friend ) . Should try asking her for notes. If i get it , i will share with you guys. We can create a discussion group.

Hi all, I would like to ask you guys who are currently taking BOJ.
There is rumour saying Legal Profession Qualifying Board (LPQB) of Malaysia will no longer recognize BOJ in UM in the future.

Do you guys aware of this? Any updates?

Would like to ask, if I have diploma and not STPM or A-levels and i want to take CLP exam.

Is that possible? What are the odds?

I heard like only 20% chance

I completed the course this year actually, and met a few people who really wanted to be come a lawyer. Hence they took BOJ from scratch (first year) all over again.
