What speaker and amp you are using?

The silver thing under ps3 is a HTPC i presume?
*
Yamaha RV1900 with xtz 99.36&99.26

Yerp, that's HTPC, Silverstone Lascala LC10 if I remember the model correctly.

Yup, that's a silverstone HTPC casing. I used to have one last time before someone stole it when shifting house.
*
That's a pity. Hope you'll get a new one soon.

Nice HTPC and Universal Remote...

Mine to share your HTPC specs and where you got the Philips Universal Remote from? I once nearly thought of buying Logitech 1000 series, but the thought of spending RM1.6K for a remote kinda pulled me back.

Instead finally got the basic 525 model.
*
shy lorr wanna share my htpc spec, I'm a cheapskate, bought all 2nd hand or clearance sales..huhu but for you can lorr..

gigabyte ga-73pvm-s2h
intel e12**
2 gb ram
80gb 2.5" hdd
cmedia sound card
zalman psu.

got abt 3 other computers acting up as storage servers with around 10TB in a different area, all connected via homeplug. Planning to upgrade to Thermaltake DH104 in a few months time and keep the hardware upto date with current techno stuff.

as for the remote, got harmony one and was not impressed, lack of customisation and flexibility, dunno abt harmony 1000, might be better.
If you've got lots of equipments, universal remote is a bless. Got mine during a clearance sale from a shop in europe, netx n ipronto for sumthing like €280.

How is your Philips remote then? Any review?

I might consider this if I can find... the 525 I had is also not that user friendly, again it is the basic version from Logitech.
*
Do consider them if you can get them on the cheap, maybe not, just go and buy them. Go to http://www.remotecentral.com/, you'll find lot's of reviews of universal remote, skins, and config files for pronto.

some review of them:
http://www.remotecentral.com/ureview/74.htm
http://www.hometheatermag.com/accessories/1203philips/

My ipronto is as good as it gets bar crestron and maybe the new pronto remote. harmony can't touch it as fas as I am concerned, Philips prontos are a notch above Harmony. Good luck in finding them on the cheap. I'll bet you'll be well pleased with them if you managed to get them.

QUOTE(ar188 @ Oct 7 2009, 10:01 AM)
what's the pure AV thing? HTPC server also?  looks nice.. thumbup.gif

anyway, (putting my free SVS cap on)  looks like your room got space for a super svs sub..  thumbup.gif
*
PurAv thing is like what car_o_scope said, some sorts of power conditioner. Unfortunately I'm not keen on ported sub design and that rules out SVS, currently negotiating on getting a custom made sealed sub from US with AESpeaker AV15X driver.

QUOTE(car_o_scope @ Oct 7 2009, 10:04 AM)
PureAV is sort of like a combo of UPS, AVR and Power Conditioner.
*
Not that grand lorrr, no UPS

QUOTE(ar188 @ Oct 7 2009, 10:07 AM)
oh... looks nice.. unlike my 750 APC.. with boring looks..
*
The most important thing is, it satisfies ur need. wink.gif

Bro,

thanks. can't help noticing the futball scene on your TV. Looks very clear.. source from Astro? Even plasma may not display the source from Astro that clear..
*
Really that clear arrr..not so good in real life lorrr....I think it must be the new philips range, my transmission is worst than astro lorrr...mmds a bit like mega tv if you remember them a few years back. Still no HD in my area. cry.gif

QUOTE(jchong @ Oct 7 2009, 11:37 AM)

*
Not so lucky lorrr. so and so only, the tax & levies on your income would make you cry lorr. 50%. Damn recession. cry.gif

QUOTE(car_o_scope @ Oct 7 2009, 11:49 AM)
Yup.. sadly, it is not cheap in Bolehland.
The Star's Sujesh is using one, if I am not mistaken.
*
Don't think it's cheap here oso, worst of all, most places out of stock oredi, got to set vulture mode to get it, if only US is the same voltage, can get cheaper and in black oso.
