actually some people prefer to be high if they lying low with neck rest on the sofa. But always have the benchmark of 3 to 4m  benchmark from the bottom .

the only set back is the TV not properly center in between the wall so it looks a bit heavier on the other side. Why not center?

oii...you mean 3 to 4 feet.....3 to 4 m oledi reach the roof linelah...

So here it is....hope you take it positively....

hehe...your weekend projects.

1. The AV rack stands out like a sore thumb....consider getting some lacquer from the hardware shop that match the speaker wood tone...

2. Too bland...get some nice Arnie, brad pitt, etc movie posters on the wall.

other than that... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Thanks bro,no worries

About the rack,im planning too upgrade my theater room and make it bigger some time this year, more seat and all...and im planning to make an enclosed rack for all the equipments.hence leaving the rack as it is..hehe

and regarding the posters....i like it ol skool...hehe like the real cinema...u dont see any posters inside of the cinema do you..but outside?? definatelly!! so im planning to add posters outside the theater room.Theres a stretch of wall right next to the door and im plannig to put up the posters with lights inside of them(framed of course).excatly like in the cinema..
And one day invite some of you for a preview! not enough enjoy alone with family...share with people that have the same passion.
there you goo..hehe

your wall is too plain and big - making your tv look small. you need a projector tongue.gif  or make your plain wall look messy a bit tongue.gif - too clean

I think he uses the Sony as Surround speaker and that huge speaker for Karaoke vocals....

My dads house also same...HT is HT, but he has a separate huge speaker for karaoke sessions with friends.

Sorry to say bro...you plasma is located to high...unless you have a high sofa on like the ones in the cinema, you are going to have neck pains.

Very nice set up...but you probably need to have a custom made cabinet as well. Try doing the floating ones meaning cabinet to attached to the wall and have no legs....something like what sony like to show in their catalogs.

Yeah...I simply love Sony Catalogs, got a lot of example in there.

From the view in the picture, I still think its too high up..its best after you have sunk in the Sofa, you head should be center of the Plasma screen...if center is too low, at very least hour head should be at the center to lower on the plasma screen..well..it's up to you icon_rolleyes.gif

Feeling weird is one thing, but neck pains is another.

Actually, some cinemas I go to, the screen is much higher than usually....but, the seats especially the upper back and neck parts are angled towards the center part of the screen. If not the center, slightly lower than it only.

The sofa and the Plasma height I dun simply say one, I mounted my plasma also too high, not ngam with my sofa, in the end, had to drill new holes and lower the plasma bracket, the best angle is straight in the middle of the Plasma. But it was too low, so at least a bit higher so can mount a center speaker and stuff at the bottom.

My eye line is about 10cm below the center of the TV. So I tilt it down a bit and when I seat I lean back a bit.

But most people never take serious about the placing of the center speaker. When the TV is low, the center speaker might be too low. I'm using a mopad to tilt the speaker upward so it face straight to my ears (or face tongue.gif )

hmm...true, my center speaker is a bit low...after you mention it, I'm gonna angle it a bit upwards...thanks

psp_boyz is not Farhan that we know. This is a fake account. Check out the join date. The IP address also confirms that it belongs to a joker that likes to play around with dupe accounts in this section tongue.gif
