Aiyo the quality looks so bad. No wonder cheap cheap only
Best way to cut is to use hot wire. Wear mask. The burning fumes is really bad. |

Why people want to run presence? Is it better than surround. I have enuf speakers to try but no cable
So currently I just run 6.1 (single back channel). Nothing impressive la but the surround now sounded fuller compared to 5.1 setup but need to run movies with DDex or DTSes to make use the back channel. If movies with only 5.1 sound, no sound coming from back channel Anyway, nice setup bro |

Yep I found it. Turn out I need to set my extended surround speaker setting to EX/ES and not leave it at auto. Thanks for the head up. Now got sound coming from the back center channel even only running 5.1 track.
Anyway, I'm just testing and playing around with my extra speakers before I sell them. Gonna get bipole later for left/right surround and then back to 5.1 mode. I'm not that impress with 6.1 setup now and I think I can live without it. At least not until I got BDP |

QUOTE(s6xs9x @ May 19 2009, 01:05 PM) why not trying out presence? maybe you'll love it. Too much hassle la bro for presence setup. I don't want to put a nail in my wall just for the sake of testing. My wife sure bising later I know that it'll give you the ambient, long halls might not do much, but wide on the other hand might get a wider sound stage. since you have the extra speakers , why not give em a try? |

I rolled a 2' x 4' foam and put at the corner as a bass trap. Now bass less boomy when I stand at that corner. Need to get more foam to make it a 4 feet foam pillar

QUOTE(car_o_scope @ May 19 2009, 03:07 PM) Hmmm.. Try to explain a bit more to you. Tq. You understand perfectly my purpose of doing that The low frequencies tend to build up more at those corners and resonate to the whole room. This will cause uncontrolled bass. I stand there just to listen if the foam has any effect or not and it does. So it helps the overall acoustic of that room. I guess i can hug the foam roll at my sitting place if I want to reduce the bass there This post has been edited by arremie: May 19 2009, 04:12 PM |

Later I post up pictures when I go back home. U can roll up any foam from packing material. The thicker the foam the better. The one I use meant for acoustic treatment.
Example of packing foam material is like this one my friend use as back support [attachmentid=972988] |
