Hi, would like to seek some advise from u guys..

Hmm currently I had a combo of 256gb WD SN 730 and 2tb firecuda hdd at my laptop. Yet I had another 512gb WD SN550 sleeping at my drawer..
Is it okay to replace my SN 730 to SN 550? Or just maintain like that? Any suggestions? Thanks

why waste bthe sn550? in some cases it even outyperforms the sn750.

hard drive is consistently slow....
Dramless SSD is like driving ferrari in traffic jam, rather than driving down empty highway.

Sprint, then lag, sprint, then lag.
even if actual speed is faster than hDD.
the feeling of inconsistency is more shit than actual lag tongue.gif

did you read the new SN550 dramless? it is one of the fastest dramless SSD.

been using the DRAM-less SSD for days for gamings etc. so far performance is flawless. Guess WD technology is top notch.

The green sata one is a no no.. brows.gif
SN550 is fine , so far.. as long as the price is right.
btw, I think the data eligibility and the lifespan is what people worry about..

Hopes they don't walk the old road of sata dramless, different SKUs different pattern..
QLC is hanging around , u know.. flex.gif
p/s: I just wonder why there r no reputable dramless ssd benchmark in 2020 yet.. rclxub.gif

haha what issues? I havent been updated to hardware stuff for years.
Only recently completed this build. It has 5 years warranty but I bought this from Taiwan. LOL...at a very cheap price.

So far the reviews for SN550 is positive la... hopefully can use for a long time.

wait what? 220GB for 1 game?
*
Yup. Modern warfare + warzone actually same game diff modes in a single download. Was gonna buy 500gb ssd bit after seeing this i got a 1tb. Because red dead redemption 2 is like 100++ GB too. You left a tiny bit for everything else. Cs:go is around 20Gb. Therefore i do not see the point of 250gb anymore.

Bet 250gb usually mainly just for OS will do..  ya.. doubt that nowadays game hardly fit in 250gb..

Os you only load it like so many times per day. Games fast loading could save you really soem good amount of time.
