if a system used hdd as os drive, it will be the obvious bottleneck. hdd iops is just not sufficient to provide optimal user experience in terms of today's personal computing.

tested with laptops that came with stock hdd-only configurations, a good amount of ram (16gb), and a decent mobile cpu (i7). after replacing the os drive with a small-sized ssd, everything is improved significantly.

I have the Sandisk Plus 240GB for more than 1 year, previously it was my primary Windows OS boot disk. Now it is my secondary disk for backup purposes.

It performed very well and reliable as boot disk.

Here is the speed via SATA 3.

The ADATA SSD link is NVMe SSD
The Crucial SSD link is SATA SSD

If your system can support NVMe, go with the ADATA
If your system can only support SATA, go with Crucial
