Rent your own website from RM55/month
If you’re a freelance photographer, having your own website might cost you an arm and a leg. This is because you’d need to pay for several things:
1. The website theme (RM315)
2. The website hosting (RM610/year)
3. Website domain (RM33/year)
Because of this issue, many photographers do not have their own personal website in addition to the fact that the prices are in USD and our MYR is somewhat miserable. However, I now have a solution for this issue by renting out my website theme and hosting for RM55/month.

A. What’s included in the package?
- FREE website hosting (worth RM610/year)
- FREE website domain (worth RM33/year)
- FREE Premium WordPress website theme that has been pre-designed. You can check it out at www.photography.designerjw.com (worth RM315/year)
- FREE paid plugins for your website
- FREE custom email address. For example, josephwu@designjw.com

B. What’s the catch?
- The RM55/month will NOT include designing your website for you but a beautiful premade layout has already been produced. I will pass you the theme’s documentation so you can figure out how to manage it yourself. If you’d like me to design your website because you’re too busy to customize it yourself, I’d be more than willing to but will charge you a fee for my work.
- You will not have access to the backend of my web hosting because I don’t want anyone playing with my back-end files and messing other websites. However, customizing your website from front-end is good enough. If you need me to edit the back-end because of certain reasons, I will do it for you.

FAQ:
Q: How come you can offer the website theme for as many websites as possible? Is this even legal?
A: Yes it is legal. Because I’m a freelance web designer, I bought the developer license which allows me to use the theme and certain premium plugins on as many websites as I want.
Q: How come I have never heard of renting a website?
A: I purchased an expensive web hosting and theme. I figured that the additional space is going to waste so I came up with this idea. Please note that many freelance web designers are going to hate me because the amount I’m charging you is not even 10% of the fee they would charge.
Q: Is this a scam?
A: Would a scam write, “Is this a scam?” on their FAQ? But I assure you this is 100% legal. If you find there's an issue with your website not working due to a problem on my part and wish to leave, then we can negotiate a refund.
Q: Why are certain links on the pre designed website: www.photography.designerjw.com not working? Why is there repetition of the same pictures?
A: The links are not working because it is meant to be a demo of the pre designed WordPress theme you will be receiving. When you receive the actual website, you can edit the links. As I stated above, it is only a demo website.
Q: Since I am renting the website, must I pay some type of deposit?
A: Yes. You must pay a deposit of RM100 on top of the monthly RM55 for the first month.
Q: Do you have a referral program?
A: Yes. Whenever you refer a friend, you will receive RM5 off for your monthly payment. When you refer 1 friend, you’ll only have to pay RM50/month. When you refer 2 friends, you’d only need to pay RM45/month and so on.
