noob question here...

own dahon d7s since few years back.. today my grip shifter kaput.. the plastics seems aging and no longer grip the shifting

can I just change the grip shifter using other shifter brand i.e shimano/ decalthon beside dahon (neos)? can be thumb type or grip.
